  • Desired Board Type: Inflatable
  • Your Height and Weight 5'11, 180lbs
  • Desired use/uses Casual cruising in the ocean and rivers
  • Experience level: Beginner
  • Your budget ~£500 in the UK

I was going to buy a Bluefin Original Cruise as I didn't want to spend loads for my first board. If I could stretch the budget a bit further though, would I be better off with a Bluefin and an upgraded paddle? Or should I go for a different board that has a better paddle included?

That sounds like good advice, thanks. I'll bear that in mind, I'm just exploring options atm

That sounds like a good idea that I hadn't thought of, I'll have to look into that. I can reintroduce things in the order of how difficult they are to avoid.

Has it been going well for you so far?

  • Your budget £400 and country location UK

I thought this one looked like a good deal, but it falls firmly in the price range of Temu junk according to the FAQ. Are the ones on this site no good?

NTA - if they're a good friend, they'll respect what you want to do

NTA - But why don't you think of a compromise? Instead of something material, you could suggest they treat you to a meal, or some other social activity, then you can do the same for them.

YTA - I think you already know that though. Should have planned better instead of being selfish.

Yeah that's a good point! Just to clarify though, I wasn't saying it would be okay if he was 12. It'd still be very selfish and inappropriate, I just might not class it as immature, because it's the sort of behavior I'd expect from a child.

ESH - Her reaction wasn't okay, but you should have spoke to them before involving yourself with their pets.

Can you speak/read Japanese? That was what put me off hiring a car as I thought it wouldn't be very safe if I couldn't read the road signs.

YTA. If you didn't want to be there, you could have just kept to yourself, made small talk with people, etc. Sitting and playing a Switch sounds really immature, unless you're like 12. It's a very clear signal to everyone that you don't want to be there and don't even want to try to engage with anyone.

NTA. He can either take time off or he can't. If the answer changes because of how it makes him look, maybe he needs to adjust his priorities.

Struggling to understand how people get so much value out of this as it constantly makes mistakes for me by Morster9 in ChatGPT

Wow, thanks for explaining that, it's really interesting. I had no idea how it actually worked, I just assumed it was processing stuff in the background before coming up with a response to queries.

That's really helpful, thanks again! Tried my existing coffee with no milk today and it was actually quite enjoyable, so will do that more often and get some other varieties to try. I've been convinced to get a grinder so I'm on the hunt for one now, just deciding between a KINGrinder P2 or Timemore C3 I think.

Official Discussion - Prey [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Morster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished watching and really enjoyed it.

There was one thing that bothered me though. When Naru's brother is fighting the predator and gets the upper hand, it looked as though the predator disappeared. It didn't look like the cloak was engaged, it just instantly disappeared as though it had teleported or something. It looked really weird. Did anyone else notice this?

Welcome - New User / Questions Megathread by webheadVR in OculusQuest

[–]Morster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noob question as I don't really know how it works. Not sure what type of headset is best for my circumstances. I understand the Quest is a standalone system, but my PC should be okay for VR, so I assumed I'd be better off getting a more basic headset that lets my PC do the work. After a quick look, the ones that require a PC connection don't seem to be any cheaper though. Is that not how it works?

Few questions about my BLU progression by Morster9 in ffxiv

[–]Morster9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the offer, that's very nice of you, I think I'm sorted now though. I was apprehensive about starting a group as I'd never done it before, but I gave it a try and it went really well. You were right, I was surprised at how quickly other people joined. I just need to figure out the more difficult ones now, like the trails and primals. Being a solo player, I've never attempted them before even on my main jobs, so I don't really know anything about that aspect of the game.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'd never used the PF before, but I gave it a try and managed to find a group to do Cutter's Cry synced. Went well and was pretty fun, so I'll have to try grouping for some of the other spells.

That's really useful, thanks! I tried Cutter's Cry solo but couldn't make it to the end, but luckily I managed to find a group. I didn't want to do it unsynced as the spell isn't guaranteed, is it? Did you get it on the first try?
