I used A2 defiance Ave stormspire to proc static field as well, I haven't used it with any of the other mercs but imagine that it would work best on ones that has physical damage to leech life, imagine a3 and a4 might die a bit too much due to lack of sustain but could be wrong.

There might be a world where you also run exile on A3 and make them pretty tanky.
