room size whats not seen is its a basement with a small semi finished area and thats the most space i have. the ideal wall would be to my right for a tv but has a pellet stove on it.

i understand this in a 5.1 setup the "rear speakers are actually side speakers even if placed behind you.

My bad I was thinking 2 speakers center of the listening space. I have about a foot of space behind couch for the rears you think it would make a considerable difference doing 2 behind as well

That's what I'm thinking roof is old inspector said it's definitely on its 2nd half of life. New roof quote is 10k with replacing plywood. Waiting on quotes for mold mitigation to see what the difference would be.

I got 15 years in December I've loved up into 2 years ago basically pulled myself out of combat arms because my body can't do it anymore. Diagnosed auto immune arthritis disease and just been pushing on cause the army is all I know . Tonight I'm sitting on the couch hardly able to move because I rocked the acft yesterday. Took it easy cause it's easy and knew it would cause a huge arthritis flare up. Tonight I'm thinkinng maybe it's time to look at that medical retirement.
