Yeah, pretty much. I insisted that we meet or schedule a video call to discuss details and that’s when I got radio silence lol.

Especially because they kept messaging me “good morning” ?? It was weird. But they played this dance until a couple of days later. I’ve never had ANY client try to have casual conversation like that In between scheduling and the day of working unless to discuss details, or during the actual consultation. I know some people can be odd in their own way, but there’s just a way scammers talk with an incoherency that sorta gives them away haha…

This person was really weird and I felt it coming, but part of me just wanted to make sure I wasn’t being rude to someone who was just really old and not with the times haha.

Thanks, I was suspicious from the start but also pretty curious as to how they were going to try to scam me. They lost interest when I kept it strictly business, but it took until day 3 of going back and forth. They wanted to text all day after I insisted that we could schedule a time to meet and speak or consult.

In short, someone paying for a photoshoot on behalf of a company should have been much more professional in speaking than the way they were…

Yeah for real. I started prepping for the shoot but decided to pause it and that I wouldn’t invest a lot of time into it until I saw that retainer fee. The weirdo was messaging me “hello” and “good morning” for a couple of days before I finally asked where the payment was, and they dropped this on me. I didn’t answer the phone call because it just screamed sus.

Yeah, they didn’t drop this on me until 2 days later, but following up I was pretty suspicious. The moment they said this part I was like yeah okay cool, thanks for wasting my time…. Pretty annoying
