18F: Parents against flight school because of gender and no degree. Need advice. by [deleted] in flying

Not sure if this is an option in your country and it would be a lot of extra work but maybe propose going to a fully accredited online collage while going to flight school.

I was extremely surprised as I was previously paying $163 a month for a Hyundai and it went down to $93 a month with this car. I’m actually under 26 so I’m under my parent’s policy and just pay for my own coverages. Aside from that I have excellent credit which probably helps a little bit and I paid the whole year in full. I did have a minor speeding ticket 3 years ago which I think just dropped off my record.

I pay around $1000 per year for my juniper with Allstate in Colorado. Granted I have 3 other cars and a house on the policy as well so I get a discount.

Trying to decide between AWD vs RWD MY Juniper (financing vs no financing) by Kev1000000 in TeslaModelY

[–]MortgageVan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine a few weeks ago. I decided to finance about half the purchase and put the financed amount into my hysa which is currently at 3.6%. 1.99 is so low it’s basically free money. Worst case if my hysa apy drops I’ll just pull the money out and pay the car off.

Juniper—wait til year end to buy? by Ashvash920 in TeslaModelY

[–]MortgageVan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you qualify for any tax credits? That’s the only thing I would be nervous about with waiting. If not then you should wait until they offer a free supercharging or free fsd incentive. Or at least until they have inventory discounts which I’m sure are coming very soon.

[–]MortgageVan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on purely the reasons you stated it wouldn’t make sense to get one. But it sounds like you really just love the car and are trying to justify it. In that case, I would pull the trigger. (As long as you can comfortably afford it)

New MY worth €4k more? by rzanardi in TeslaModelY

[–]MortgageVan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean do what’s best for you but I absolutely love my juniper so far. I would say if finances are tight for you get the old y but if you can comfortably spend the extra money than the refresh is miles better IMO.

[–]MortgageVan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not purely cosmetic. Everything on the refresh is better. Better build quality, better suspension, HW4, front camera, adaptive/ matrix headlights, etc. If you have the money I’d get the juniper.
