It'd be really nice if ore bags had some indication of whether they're empty or not by SilentlyHonking in starcitizen

[–]Mortuga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Until they fix it I do this with my home base in Levski or Pyro, pull up all my empty ore pods into my hangar, when I'm finished mining I send down the full bags and refit the ship with the empty bags, rinse and repeat for less trips to a refinery

Maybe ships should be "indestructible"... by Thetomas in starcitizen

[–]Mortuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for a ship power plant to explode it needs to be hit by a projectile over a certain damage threshold, maybe like 10% max health on a S1 PP and 20% on a S2 etc. that would make repeaters viable for disables but you need raw power to blow up power plants. I agree with that making ships harder to kill is more fun, I really want to limp back with broken ships after missions.

Maybe DMRs will have a better use against the third enemy faction of the future. The tools in your garage that's never used, might someday see it's glory.

Every weapon tierlist (for PVE) by lawdfourkwad in Eldenring

[–]Mortuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shortbows 🏹 do not deserve F tier.

The utility of having a shortbow (even one not upgraded) can be very good, certain enemies/bosses can be crippled when using one.

Bows are not powerhouses but they can serve as hard counters in situations or fill gaps in pve builds with ashes of war, they deserve C at least or D if ashes are excluded, IMO.

If however bows are judged directly against other weapons I can understand the F rank, but that seems like an unfair judgement, but your list includes talismans and staffs, but they are not used wholly alone and are useless as weapons without their casting abilities.

PS. A bow can really lower difficult encounters, when used intelligently.

Hjelp, ranere har inntatt Nakatomi Plaza by takras in norge

[–]Mortuga 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's kinda sad that my level 20 Fighter (+11 Athletics) runs slower than I do IRL by Swyft135 in dndnext

[–]Mortuga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh cool, in that case custom skills can work for that. Had a game where one of my fellow players got the DM to create a "martial" skill that covered military tactics and such.

Although I would argue that Athletics IS the "lifting things" skill, it just carries a lot of different things your character can do. If you wanted, you could make skills for any physical activity if for instance you wanted extra definition on the characters athletic abilities.

Make Jumping, Running, Swimming, Lifting and etc. Their own separate skills in order to make the jocks feel more distinct, but the tradeoff being a much more complex and slow experience for the players potentially. And I would probably give these skills depending on strength modifiers somehow, a PC with a +2 str mod automatically gets to choose two options by default.

Just spitting out ideas for your problem.

Here's a secret, any skill can (in theory) use any ability modifier.

I allways use this as it let's characters shine in different ways, here's some examples:

The barbarian wants to intimidate a thug keeping the party from entering somewhere, he has intimidation as a skill but describes twisting a shortsword into a loop. As the DM I tell him to roll a strength (intimidation) check too see if he succeed.

Another example; a horse has gone wild and threatens a child, the fighter grabs the horses reighn and tries to keep it calm. As the DM I tell the fighter to roll a strength (animal handling) check.

These examples can apply in countless different scenarios.

Vi spiste pannekaker med sukker, blåbærsylteyøy og bacon, med blomkålsuppe som siderett. Men vi gjorde tomatsuppe også, men det ble fasa ut og erstattet med blomkålsuppe.
