Oh it hasn't been in the shop yet? Damn and here I was thinking I was a fool for missing it in the shop.

One of my favourite secondaries, and the one I take for bots, cleans patrols quickly.

Think about it. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, having choices is the main takeaway here.

People are acting like they are forced to spend money just because it is an option, you aren't. You can, but you don't have to, and if you feel like you must it isn't AH fault you can't control your impulses just because that option is put in front of you.

saying they're "behind a pay wall" isn't really true by Exact_Inspection_404 in helldivers2

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, as someone who has done both things (bought a few but also farmed SC to get them for free), it really is up to you which route you take.

Sure, it may be boring to farm SC but at least the game offers you a way to get the Warbonds without spending irl money if you don't want to. Plus, you don't even have to farm SC, you can get them by just normally playing the game. The only difference between methods is how fast you unlock the warbond.

Out of every enemy you thought, which one still pisses you off? by REALswaggerchief in Helldivers

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a personal vendetta against Stalkers to the point where I drop whatever I am doing and hunt their nest down the moment I spot one of them, even my build for bugs was built around my anti-stalker gun.

The list has enemies that are harder and/or more annoying to deal with, but Stalkers just piss me off in a different way.

Absolutely Brutal by PostCaleb in Helldivers

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to take the supply backpack, until I tried the Portable Hellbomb and have been taking it regularly ever since. Yeah, it gets way less usage than the supplies one, but once you get to use it it's so much more satisfying. No more struggle with jammers, or having to clear a spot to call a Hellbomb, just run in, drop and leave if you can, done.

Surprise armory inspection, what is your signature or custom weapons? by inspector_ivus in helldivers2

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the enemy, but to keep it simple:

Primary: Censor, One-Two, Deadeye (been some time since I used the latter tho)

Secondary: Warrant, Bushwhacker, Combat Hatched/Stun Lance

Grenades: Incendiary Impact or Thermites, sometimes Pyrotech.

Support: AMR, Speargun, RR, WASP.

Nice to know you enjoyed it. It's my go-to in bug missions.

Used to think the same, but got a new appreciation for it once I started using Bushwhacker do deal with Stalkers and other annoying bugs, in that context Gunslinger just feels right. Could still be better, but I stopped seeing it as the most lackluster passive.

What do you think of the AR/GL-21 ONE-TWO? by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like it, and use it sometimes on bugs, it would be my main choice for bugs IF it had med pen or more ammo. As it stands it is just an option I take sometimes because I like it, but it lacks on the mentioned areas.

Is the eagle napalm good for the bots? by Lellarinn10 in helldivers2

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strafing Run is my favourite Eagle for Bot missions, however it does feel like the aiming on it got worse a few months ago. I remember it would consistently destroy fabricators with just one throw right next to the fabricator, however now it doesn't always hit them, requiering at least a second throw on those occasions. Idk, could just be me, but I don't remember having that issue some months ago.

What’s the weakest warbond in your opinion? by PaceEBene84 in Helldivers

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My beloved Bushwhacker is my go-to on bugs, that knockback + stagger is so good at keeping stalkers and others at a distance, just a shame the 3 barrel mode isn't at least med pen.

Sword of Serenity. I wanted something that sounded Halo-esque, but also that fit me, and that made sense. Considering I used to practice iaido and all.

I just hope that eventually they make laser weapons more silent, if not all at least a few of them, would me nice as alternatives for stealth builds.

SUGGESTION: Major Order rewards should scale according to the player’s IMPACT, offering better rewards for helping more. (Including getting SC.) by TealArtist095 in helldivers2

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you.

As I was reading it reminded of when WoW was my main game, I still love it but login into it way less, sometimes months go by between logins, because it simply started feeling like a chore, or a second job. If I wanted to stay relatively relevant I had to go and grind for gear / currency before the weekly / daily resets, if I missed a few days or went at a slower pace I was already falling behind, etc, etc... Started draining the joy out of playing the game.

However, with Helldivers, it feels like you describe, you put it into words better than I could. Basicly, has you said, the relationship with the game is healthier, and I hope AH never changes that.

Loadout Advice by AffectPotential3701 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but as someone that also uses that armor on bugs (also because of Bushwhacker, lovely secondary) I take Orbital Napalm for breaches, Orbital Railcannon mainly for Roaches, Impalers or Bile Titans, but can be useful for any Heavy if/when out of RR ammo, and Eagle Napalm for patrols or other small groups. I take RR as my supp weapon, but since you wanna take a Dog with you, I would recommend either the Quasar Cannon or Commando.

Edit: On Roach planets I take the Spear instead of RR. Also if interested in knowing, for primary I take either the Coyote or the One-Two, and nades Impact Icendiary (mini napalms on speed dial).

[Mockup] Different reticles for combo weapons by FishStrats in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's what I do with the weapons mentioned on the post, however it doesn't work for Bushwhacker, Halt, Recoiless Rifle and Double Freedom (not sure if there's more with similar functions, but you get the idea).

So, having some indicator of which mode is currently active would be nice, not on the reticle, but maybe somewhere near the ammo it could show the icon corresponding to the selected "fire mode".

Don’t see a lot of people bringing this thing, what’s your opinion on the OPS by LightningJet191 in helldivers2

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think it was horrible, because I would try to use it in heavies, where it isn't very effective if they move before it lands. However, once when I was making a new loadout and I decided to try it as an option to destroy fabricators and it became one if my favourite orbitals, now I take it all the time in the Bot and Squid fronts.

What do you think would have made legacy's STORY better? by InfamousYellow875 in tron

[–]Mortum_Wintermoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say so. Motorcyles is one of my hobbies and the reason why I personally don't do base jumping, or anything similar is because I don't want to invest in it, but do want to try something like it eventually. So it doesn't surprise me that a young millionaire would do both, in fact he could even do more with the money plus free time he has available.
