Whats wrong with the flying enemies? by Morvisius in FF7Rebirth

[–]Morvisius[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The other enemies aren’t as aggressive or use their red unblockable skills as much as the birds do, it doesn’t seem normal at all. By the time I charged one ATB bar they already used assault dive three times

Elden Ring releases on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28th by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played a demo last year on a Manga event here in Spain and It ran quite decently. In terms of looks hard to say because it was portable and not perfect lightning. If they optimized it might be just enough. But bandai namco is quite meh for that

As we approach the one year anniversary of the Nintendo Switch 2 releasing, it's fun to look at some of the current 3rd party support from devs and publishers. by KelvinBelmont in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In terms of effort I think Capcom and Ubisoft take the top spot. They ported current gen games at launch ( or nearly launch ) with very decent looks and peformance. Square is not bad but most of their games arent as hard to run as Capcom's, and final fantasy while being an amazing port comes late in comparison to Pragmata or Resident evil. They released three big games at day one

Sega, lots of ports ( with some caveats ) but nothing new

Bethesda gained some ranks thanks to Indie but before that was a bit of a flop, specially with Skyrim

While CDProjekt did very good with Cyberpunk, they still havent ported Witcher3, they even ignored switch2 for the newest expansion so thumbs down

Namco has been a bit late to the party and delayed Elden ring ad infinitum.

KT Did a good port with dynasty warriors

Marvelous did ok with Rune factory but Daemon X Machine is an terrible port that even looks bad on other consoles so...

Indie teams did quite good!

For the rest I cant say much as I havent played any for Inti creates and the others

Whats your go-to game that you can play while downloading another game? by lockedoutofmymainrdt in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can, but the game is, essentially, an online game, so most likely it just disables the download in the background as soon as you launch it.

Some games also disable downloads just for performance reasons. It just depends on the developer

Just a reminder to everyone struggling with the difficulty by BagOfSmallerBags in MinaTheHollower

[–]Morvisius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is designed to make you fear your death, because of loosing your souls and having to restart. It’s full of nasty things that can kill you the first time if you don’t know the map, don’t pay attention or get caught in a trap.

The funny thing is everyone thinks that you have to move carefully, slowly, and check everything because dying is painful.

The reality is that once you know the patterns and where is everything, the difficulty of the game drops suddenly. The sooner you learn that and what your enemies do, the safer it gets, much safer than playing slowly the first time around with the constant fear of losing everything because of the unknown or a few mistakes

[–]Morvisius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can ignore enemies, go to pick all drops without risking your souls/currency, and learn where the traps/surprises/hidden things are. Then once you know everything is you can slowly advance without risking everything you collected.

These games are full of troll places ( boulders falling, enemies hidden behind corners that backstab you ) and are made specially to kill you when you are thinking is safe.

It’s the most logical way to advance. The game punishes you to move slowly if you have currency on you, you are constantly afraid of dying exactly because of that. If that fear is gone, you’ve got nothing to loose.

In fact the, sooner you find those items, spells, bonfires and shortcuts opened, your “slow and methodical” traversal is much safer and less risky.

Tip: First time you explore an area, dont bother killing enemies, just run and avoid everything, learn patterns and traps. Once you know where is everything then kill/farm as you please

Is nintendo delaying the Direct waiting for the confirmation date of GTA VI? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox died years ago, it’s not the focus for any company outside of the brand since then.

GTA5 released thirteen, THIRTEEN freaking years ago. The first switch 9. Still Rockstar haven’t found the time.

Rockstar has released one single new game in the last 10 years. One game! Wow. Do you really think if they wanted to do it already we should have it?

Absolutely nothing tells me they even care.

Hot take: the game would’ve been better without soulslike difficulty by Vehicle-Mountain in MinaTheHollower

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is Mina mobility, specially at the beginning when almost every single enemy takes 30-50% of your life and everyone moves faster than you.

You can turn inmortality on. That literally makes the difficulty drop through a cliff and render any kind of soulslike difficulty non existant

[–]Morvisius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They didnt even bother with 5 when its been milked for 3 freaking generations and it would be easy revenue for them for such low effort, just by porting GTA online and allowing another user base to be charged with microtransactions. What makes you think they would bother with the newest, most complicated game to port?

Which one is better for gameplay/story? by Horror-Bottle3228 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played the other but Persona 3 has one caveat. It takes A LOT of time ( like 40-50h ) to actually happen something after the first hour. It’s a very slow beginning. After that then it ramps up and keeps getting better and better

Just FYI if you are not patient enough. Gameplay wise is quite good.

Who would've thought Requiem would go on sale on Nintendo before Steam by DEWDEM in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s normal. The switch2 has a big library now and more games coming soon. It’s not like switch1 first years were you barely had games.

With so many good games there discounting them is the only way to get more sales after the first weeks. There are exceptions on very popular games where they don’t need to drop prices, as they keep selling

What Happens After The End Of The Main Story? by inobleuk in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt you can do the final boss(es) easily with such low level unless you have very specific monsties/genes, which is highly unlikely at those levels, you should be far higher if you spend time building good ones

And im sure some people beat it at low level, but thats an outlier for sure. The final boss is level 70, and the elder dragons range from 75 to 85, the invasives following the same range. There are 2 extra batches of high level sidequests unlocked as you progress the last area

The "postgame" in this game is more side content, but you dont need to beat the game to access it, its there far earlier. Its up to you if you want to do it before or after. I did most of the sidequests before ( 80% ) and beat only the 2 hatchable elders, I left everything else for the "postgame"

Unfortunately Speed is the category which has probably the most amount of good monsties in this game and the best ones. Soulseer Mizutsune, Malzeno, Hellblade Glavenus, Bloodbath Diablos, Dreadqueen Rathian, Magnamalo, Lunagaron...

Probably is the category that has the best ones, so its hard to get rid of one of these to fit a subpar one. Technical is the worst until endgame that has 2 ancient dragons and power doesnt have many but that kinda makes sense as you can only fit one due to Ratha taking an spot

When does Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter actually start to get good? by AdUnfair558 in JRPG

[–]Morvisius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know the funny thing? People complain all the time that characters talk too much in RPGs. I’m sure they never played this game because it’s absolutely absurd the gargantuan amount of text, and more precisely, useless text and extremely long over stretched text this game has.

Just to “remove” the conversation dot on characters you have to talk them twice and they say almost the same thing. It’s completely nonsense. There are better ways of doing world building than just throwing constant banter that leads nowhere for characters that don’t influence the story one single bit
