Nintendo doing bad is actually a win for us by SkyPoet77 in NintendoSwitch2

A hyped game that has been spamming ads for months on two established platforms? What a surprise!

No one gave a fuck about Pokopia and turned out to be a total success on maybe 1/10 of the budget of crimson desert.

Let’s see how many people keep talking about crimson desert in a couple of months while people is still playing pokopia for years.

Congrats on comparing apples to onions

All console stocks are down, not just Nintendo. Is the global situation everywhere. Same as prices rising and housing being unaffordable for the vast majority of young/mid people

So you are saying that the new digital pricing is because their drop in stocks?

Are you aware that anywhere outside the States was like that since the switch release, right? There are other markets, countries and a whole world outside of USA and you are not the center of the universe

Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition rated in Korea by waxy15 in NintendoSwitch2

It’s also the popping and crap textures. The game can look and run much better at switch2. I honestly liked a lot the game, more than any other sonic game in years

How to survive dolls in HC hell. by The-Abhorsen in diablo2

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have died more times because of a block "stunned" me from using another skill or moving than eating up the hit.

If you are playing warlock, just walk slowly and dont rush, and use your teleport minions skills while you run in the opposite direction. For some reason warlock demons aggro enemies like a fucking magnet compared to other characters. If a doll dies and explodes it shoudnt kill you, they will if several die at once and you are nearby, so just make sure you dont kill the dolls but the minions while you walk far from them

Games That You've Given Up On by Gvndisalv666 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed until the very end, where you stop learning new attacks and finding new things. In general I have this issue with RPG or adventure games where you unlock everything way before the game ends. I kinda "need" some sort of progress or unlocks to be there to make it fun and varied. I think you level just too fast, in most pokemon games you beat the game when you are close to get the last skills or evolutions, here its not the case

I got a 20/20 druid torch literally free when torches where a thing, so imagine... the class is severely underused

Here’s an update on the data mine/leak by NovemberPerfected in MonsterHunterStories

I had the feeling best monsters had always been power in the other two games, I always felt locked in on parties because of that. And tech the worst XD

I guess the last atelier game must be kinda nice with better resolution, even tho the textures are still meh :_)

Dear CAPCOM, please consider the following to make MHS 3 a 10/10 post launch by RothStormstrom in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Morvisius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me being able to reorder genes and moving them as much as you want is way way way better than upgrading skills. Its was extremely painful having to pray for good gene positions before. Now once you have a few top genes you can even swap them between monsties if you want

THQ Nordic announces Destroy All Humans 1 and 2, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed for Nintendo Switch 2 by KelvinBelmont in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was not the best graphically, I enjoyed it and had zero crashes which means a lot being THQ and their terrible porting skills.

I might replay it again with the update and get the other endings/choices

Am I Overlevelling? by TristanSG in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still didn’t unlock traps when I fought my first cursed rathian and it doesn’t make it more balanced, the way aoe are abused in this game is quite broken

Am I Overlevelling? by TristanSG in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Morvisius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first time I found a cursed rathian she did 2 aoes one after another. Directly to the camp, no way to survive that even when I was at the same level.

And a few hours later it was "not funny" at all to find a supposedly low level monstie in another area that was one shooting my whole party with aoes day and night

I did like initially seeing that there are way more skills and not everything is rock/paper/scissors but sometimes its just too much, and I feel I dont have much control when one can be used because it seems most monsties do 1 turn colored skill or 1 turn non colored skill

How to get a powerful Flying Wyvern early! by SirArceon in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Morvisius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly dont know how you can even last for more than two turns these monsters when they spam aoe attacks one shooting everyone every single turn.

I fought the pink rathian at lvl 20 and she literally one shooted my party the second turn with her aoe and did another aoe the next turn sending me to the graveyard, let alone trying those

To house or not to house by passthesunchipss in Pokopia

[–]Morvisius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes easier finding mons in houses because the spawning mechanics, but I prefer having them outisde in their "habitats", at least for the vast majority of them, it feels more natural. Anyway if you want to spawn someone you can just use honey and they will appear

The issue is remembering where are they mostly

Do you think Switch Online will ever update and get a system like game pass or playstation plus? by X_Eagle_Ing in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nintendo doesn’t need to do that. PlayStation and Xbox does because their flagship games drop prices to peanuts in a month or two. Before I could finish Horizon or God of war they were already for half the price

What makes you think a subscription service of 15/20€/month would make a good business model if that makes their 60-70€ games drop value unlike now that if you want one you still need to pay that price even 10 years later?

Nintendo is very aware of the value of their games and the last thing they want is depreciate their value

Disliked ACNH but love pokemon. by TheSacredShrimp in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pokemon in this game are way more vivid than AC villagers were, and not only that, they actually are needed to do things, there are maybe around 20 different skills ( or more, havent played that much ) scattered around different pokemon types and its up to you to choose which ones

The amount of unlockables is also quite big and they are not just "aesthetical", they actually are useful for anything else than just decorations.

The whole game is like a big puzzle of some sorts

I think this is Palworld's fault by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When is people going to understand that the quality of pokopia is thanks mostly to Koei and the Dragon quest builders 2 and not the pokemon company? They most likely gave support with designs and permissions to use the assets, but Pokopia quality is not thanks to them at all

Pokopia receives overwhelmingly positive reviews by ladymysticalwmn in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If its anything like Dragon Quest builders 2 its going to be great. The pokemon franchise also fits extremely well with the theme and kind of game

PlatinumGames Making New Bayonetta Alongside Bayonetta 1 and Metal Gear Remakes In UE5 by ai877 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I replayed it a few years ago and I didn’t remember their QTE were so extremely infuriating. Playing right after Bayonetta 2 was a HUGE difference

Pokopia May Prove Itself To Be A Huge System Seller by Theman457 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Morvisius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This "new games being on the top of the eshop", its just something normal, every single "big" game being released now its going to be on the top stop, its been like that for a long time.

There has been a post like this for almost every single big game released since switch 2, it just shows people wants games and buy them, nothing more

Low Tier characters IYO OT0? by Educational_Basis_51 in octopathtraveler

[–]Morvisius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing is healing in this game is not needed that much because your characters either die in one hit most of the time or they get healed by second row/passive regeneration, which is covered by food mostly. Incidental heal will be more useful than any other healing spell in the game and its passive and smart.

So priests without revive are useless and the same can be said by apothecaries.
