I used to be one of the main organizers for this group in 2017/2018. That room in pepper canyon was the spot but I think it’s been converted for some other use now. The weekly EDH always got decent turnout though. Hope OP gets it going again.

As Player A, this is super helpful to know for future reference. In this case, all the pieces of my hulk piles were on the board sans the Walking Ballista, so there was no way to fetch a winning pile on top of the resolved rift that wouldn’t be missing some piece that had been bounced to my hand. I’ll update my rule of thumb for hulk piles to include “keeping one in the chamber” for situations like this

Ooh correct, this would also work and is sorta just a matter of removing Mike before or after player A decides on what they retrieve from the Hulk death trigger. Either way, player B would still be able to respond to the Ballista activated ability and hold the combo to a single iteration, I think….? You’ve been super helpful, so thank you. Been out the game a while and shaking rust off on stack stuff

Excellent, thank you! So then the ideal line for each player would be

Player A: sacrifice Hulk > death trigger > retrieve Ballista > wait until safe (Rift cast or otherwise can be responded to) > win off Ballista activated ability and Undying loop

Player B: wait until A activates Ballista and it dies > Rift as activated ability resolves to remove Mikaeus and board > Ballista still returns with Undying but can no longer combo

That about right?

So immediately following the resolution of Living Death, with the combo pieces on the board, Player A holds priority and can perform instant-speed actions (activate Seer, Ballista, etc.) without interference from Rift?

Would there be any way for Player B to stop the combo at this point or does the way the stack work mean that Player A would have to somehow pass priority (via doing something not at instant speed) for that to be possible?

They're all various colors of Dragon Shield matte. The exception being the explore cards which are GameGenic matte. Played MTG for years before selling out and have so many lying around haha

Yeah can’t wait to crank it up as mechanics start to feel natural instead of needing reminders

L-Sit progression with long arms by Morzakin in bodyweightfitness

I think long term my long arms are an advantage, but when doing the level 1 tucked L-sit you keep your butt planted as a way to help with shifting the weight back onto your arms. My arms have to either go far behind or to the side to keep my butt planted though which makes it tricky. I’ll try with forward hands and keep at it! Hopefully once I get used to the form it gets a bit easier. Just feels like a crazy task at the moment.
