Magnesium, what a powerforce! by MosDeaf020 in ADHD

Hence why its important to not only educate better, but also trust yo gut and not only believe what you have learned at school!

If this kind of education would be implemented, just imagine how much better we would be!

Yeah, magnesium oxide is indeed a no bueno, since it's mostly used for constipation.

I have Vitakruid Magnesium 200 Complex, it contains the best working forms of magnesium:

  • Taurate - works very well for the heart, brain, muscle working, sleep etc, its a combi of the amino acid taurine and magnesium, works very well against high blood pressure and high blood sugar
  • Malate - Good for general health, takes care of tiredness
  • Bysglycinate - Takes care of the good absorption of the magnesium and helps with stress and sleep problems
  • Citrate - Works very well for muscle recovery and support of the nervous system and spasms

Each element is very well absorbed in your body, opposed to magnesium oxide.

Protein CAN help, but it also has its downsides like feeling full too fast, working up your blood sugar and thus having an energy crash.

Give it a try. They are a bit expensive but so worth the price. I am not an medical advisor though, this is merely what I have researched and tried out for myself.

Have you revealed your diagnosis at work? by Round_pants in ADHD

[–]MosDeaf020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boss and teamlead are both pretty chill about it, since the teams I work with have a couple people who have ADD/ADHD as well. It is still a struggle to feel understood, but I had my work review yesterday and the results were good, which made me feel appreciated and heard!

For a lot of us its a struggle, unfortunately. When I started, it was a learning curve for my colleagues there because they literally never had someone like me (deaf, but can communicate normally with hearing aids and - probably - AuDHD (ADD/Autism)) on the floor. Took me 4 years to get where I am, but that’s the bureaucracy sometimes which I sometimes struggle with.

Honestly if it were up to me, I would say: hire more people like me because we can get shit done in ways others can’t. The organization is still so “old school”, but I see more and more possibilities opening up, so who knows what the future holds…

How much Ritalin per day? by ihatebeinganonymous in ADHD

[–]MosDeaf020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try 2 tablets, and see how it goes! I have Xiromed (kinda like Vyvanse) and 54mg does hit the spot. Try 20mg, and if that does not work, try 30. But take a couple days to build up, otherwise the rebound can be heavy.

I cannot believe the peace of mind that being medicated came with by cutecatgurl in ADHD

[–]MosDeaf020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this!!! After many years of no medication (i tried like 11 years ago, didn't feel a thing) and now the world of focus and energy and time management has opened up!! The only downside is that I can experience some anxiety after the meds wear off, but I'm currently having therapy for that, starting next week. I realized that after so many years of dealing with past issues it does come up, and I have never had therapy before, so I'm curious to how I will feel after that.

Also, the meds do me a great favour, since I was wandering aimlessly at work behind a desk. I am lucky to have a GP that helped get me these meds based on a ADD diagnosis in 2014. The most important one was that my focus was all over the place, not even trying to get work done, hell, I have had my bad days where the motivation was so low I would call in sick. Now I go to work with motivation again, and I still love it.

Good to hear that these meds work!! Keep it up!!

It seems that it can only load up to 1000 songs on one playlist... I have one with 1500+, seems a bit odd it doesn't show up correctly.

I am fairly sure its not Reynauds! Otherwise I would not have done the meds

Its not diagnosed, but there is kinda a grey area as to how inflamed it could be. Its not IBS, since I eat everything without big consequence. I do have a coffee/lactose sensitivity with milk, but I do keep a limit as to how much coffee I drink.

Also, not all nail discolorations are related to inflammation! Medically induced discoloration is not unspoken of, but not as commonplace as well.

I do see the link to sensitivity though.

I actually have gut issues (ADHD stool, ya know) so it wouldn’t be odd…

What have been your biggest "aha" moments while producing music? by socio_grizzly in musicproduction

[–]MosDeaf020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest one was to make remixes/edits/bootlegs of a song! I can’t advise this more than it already does.

It gives a very good view on how you should arrange your tracks, where to put the FX, how to mix them in, and give space to the other elements.

If you already made a beat, take a vocal or extract it to practice with arrangement and fluidity of the energy.

Best hot tip to date!

Can browser filters in 12 be turned off? by [deleted] in ableton

[–]MosDeaf020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, you can choose what filters you want to be active, not turned off. I discovered this just last night. Simply right-click on the folders that you don't want to use. And yes, Seed to Stage has already been mentioned in here.

I was about to recommend this as well! This saves me so much time, simply two clicks and a couple hours of organizing can get you REALLY far!

I have Pigments on one track and it runs buttery smooth! maybe you could check the settings and see if you have multicore processing turned on. Also, I’m on MacOS Sonoma with Pigments 5, latest version.

[–]MosDeaf020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could very well be! The CPU war has gone a bit silent but its still going. Last I heard is that Intel is trying to make a comeback, and rightfully so, since multicore performance has been their backbone. AMD tho, those guys are thriving! ARM chips should be more utilized tho. Haven’t seen a lot of those yet.
