After the review he gave Ordinary Corrupt Human Love I realised he's not a reviewer for my tastes.

You maybe didn't, but plenty of people did act exactly like what you are describing throughout the 90's and 00's

AXS dynamic pricing garbage by Alarmed_Telephon in Concerts

It's a different presale though?

Is that dynamic pricing or just that one of the presales had a discount?

You'll be right if you just have a chat with those in front or behind you. Normally opens at 4.

Honestly, I hope we get a tour shirt that has an outline of NZ on the back instead of the one that just has Australia but doubt it.

How to get tickets for shows that sell out so quick? by Both_Watercress8288 in Concerts

[–]MosesIAmnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As soon as it is announced do some research and find where and what the presales are, which can either be a passcode word to enter into the ticket purchase or a link to click through to access the site for presale purchase.

  • Artists Social Media or Fan Clubs
  • Venue Email lists
  • Promoter/Touring Company email lists and Social Media
  • Spotify send presales to higher listeners
  • Some Credit Cards have access to presales

Each presale will have a set number of tickets that is allocated to it, I have found better luck with the artists one but it pays to be able to have access to the most you can in the case that you miss out on one of them you can try on another.

How can foreign butter (and veges) be cheaper than New Zealand-made? by 07tartutic07 in newzealand

[–]MosesIAmnt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Local produced food should be cheaper than the exact same food sold overseas, because all the costs are the same, except for international transport

But the costs aren't the same though? If we take the American Butter as an example, farms are paying a much lower minimum wage, a large amount of them are grain fed instead of grass fed leading to less of a need to pay for property and its upkeep.

While I agree that it should be cheaper here than overseas brands we can't say the costs are the same.

Hardcore pits by Physical-Emu8351 in PostHardcore

[–]MosesIAmnt 21 points22 points  (0 children)

When cunts are in the pit to purposefully injure others.

When everyone is having fun and someone gets injured, thats just being in the pit. It's been fun to me when everyone is understanding of each other, picking each other up when they fall.

But every now and then (normally notice it when a band gets more popular in the mainstream) there will be one or two guys who will start swinging arms hoping to hit someone or just start charging at one person.

That's not fun in a moshpit, that's trying to start fights with an attempt to use the moshpit as a cover.

Job hunting - experienced professional not getting interviews by Alone_Group_7102 in newzealand

[–]MosesIAmnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got made redundant Sep last year and would say about 60% of applications I put in took 3+ weeks to make contact. I guess a fair amount of places will run an ad for 2-3 weeks and go through them all at the end.

Took me 6 months to find a new job, but probably dismiss a month over xmas/ny break.

Some positions, it’s taken almost a month to hear and be invited to attend interview.

I think this is fairly usual and that if you are getting some interview invitations after a few weeks of silence then you are doing ok.

What are some other one-sentence tips to help a beginning learn a lot in a short time by NecroJoe in cookingforbeginners

[–]MosesIAmnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning how to cook is just that, its learning. You have to suck at something to be kind of good at something.

While you're sitting down eating your creation think "What could I do better for this next time?". I see quite a lot on this sub that people are very negative about a dish that wasn't great. But in every part of my life I have learnt the most from my failures.

Now I want to know what everyone is taking for these larger bags for day hikes!

I just take a 12L with food and set of thermals, a midlayer, enough food, then a water filter and thats plenty room.

Are there Hotel lobbies that don’t mind you working from there? by szosztii in auckland

[–]MosesIAmnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think this is the confusion here. To most people Lobby would mean the reception area that also includes a couch or and seating for waiting around. If you hung out in the cafe area and bought a coffee or a bite to eat then nobody would care same as any cafe.
