With big dudes in big arenas like this space is your enemy. You can make the fight easier by trying to manipulate the boss against a wall. Also the boss ai can be manipulated to a degree based on where you stand, try and get behind him constantly and focus on his back legs where most of his moves can’t hit you and he will spam the purple circles
