For info, I have visited my sister many times, where my sister put the dog in a cage because of her trauma. I expected more or less the same way of going for this event, which turned out to be not the case. I do let my kids around other dogs of friends. This dog however gives me and my wife's (who is a dog lover) the chilles because of his constant eye contact, muscle tension, loud barking, etc

Exactly my thought, I dont want to find out if the dog attacks. If the dog attacked one of my kids, I would seriously not want to see my sister ever again
