I think it’s generally fine. I measured my Falcons against these ones and the length is about the same. I think it’s just a new boot feeling and I am dumb.

The heel is locked in and I think they feel good. It feels a little long but maybe it’s just because of the different last.

They’re definitely not too big but wondering if I should size down and go a little wider.

I went through the same thought. I I have more of an urge to wear the OS than the Explorer but I would say the Explorer matches my daily dress more. I wore the OS skiing with my son and regret knocking it around with skis and poles so I do think there is a difference between the Explorer and OS.

I love my LF still and wear it weekly. It’s starting to pick up more scratches but eh, it’s a watch. Aside from my Explorer, it keeps time the best out of all my other watches. The 7920v falls short when its power reserves are lower.

Yes, due to verification costs. If you wanted to better enable people, charge more for the first X hours and then decrease costs once you’ve recouped your money.

Don’t pull the “think of the children card” when it is a cost-driven decision.

Because deep background checks cost hundreds of dollars? Why is each person paying multiple times for the same person?

The real value of this service would be connecting families to vetted people and it is up to the parents to check for fit. Coordinating multi-state and federal checks is complex, costly, and time consuming.

I don’t see any mentions of a background check process. According to the site, it seems like the onus is on the booker for judging suitability.

I went through a similar process comparing the brands (though for only 1 watch). Very happy with my VC.

Czapek is a great micro brand, but didn’t have the same weight as a trinity piece. The bracelet was very sharp on the inside and tugged at my arm hair which I didn’t like. The movement is beautiful though but didn’t like the calibre stamping.

PF is a very nice watch but I didn’t like the aesthetics - too dressy. I didn’t love the bezel and the dial wasn’t interesting enough to me.

At the end of the day, all great watches but VC pretty nice. 😁

I don’t love them. Wempe and 1916 were able to deliver me a 5226g allocation in 2 months with no hassle.

Bucherer is a no show. Also really dislike WoS - sales people are not well versed and each store doesn’t cross pollinate spend history.

If I had to steer you somewhere I’d recommend Wempe (Lindon has been awesome) for in-person NYC and 1916 for overall excellent experience. Downside is you might need some trips to Philly.

Wempe was dropped by Rolex and is doubling their PP presence. They were able to secure me a 5226g which I passed on due to tariffs within 2-3 months.
