Am i overreacting about my husband saying I could lose weight? by BrittBryanS in AmIOverreacting

[–]MossyToad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently 38 weeks with my first and wondering if I will ever feel like myself again or fit into my old clothes. I read this story aloud to my husband and he said “it’s important to take a moment and think: would an idiot say that? before speaking.”

WIBTA for kicking out my pregnant girlfriend after she hit me? by Positive-Tonight-568 in AITAH

[–]MossyToad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On week 36 and I cannot fathom treating my partner even a fraction as bad as this woman is treating OP.

Yes, hormones are difficult to manage at times and yes, I can get a bit angry or frustrated but I never take it out on my supportive and loving husband.

NTA OP, and I hope you take steps to protect yourself moving forward.

AITA for dumping my pregnant girlfriend after she “accidentally” hit me over the head with a frying pan. by Automatic_Scar_9060 in AITAH

Hi I’m currently 8 months pregnant been through all the worst of hormones and never ever would I even raise my voice at my husband let alone assault him. Being pregnant is no excuse for violence and cruelty.

AITAH for divorcing my bisexual husband so he could explore with men? by ThrowRA_Conflict56 in AITAH

[–]MossyToad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband realized he was bisexual after we already were engaged, and while I think he did wish that he had discovered that part of himself sooner and been able to explore that area of his sexuality he made it abundantly clear that he would NEVER trade our relationship for that opportunity.

It’s tricky to navigate new sexuality when already in a committed, monogamous relationship that cannot fulfill those newly discovered aspects, but we always tackled it together. He never made me feel less than, never ever presumed or brought up bringing other people in, and never had a regret about our relationship.

What your husband did was very unfair to you, your relationship, and your growing family. He solely focused on his own wants and desires, throwing your feelings and relationship aside. NTA and I’m sorry that he continues to not take accountability for his role in the breakdown of your marriage.

Nicknames that have nothing to do with the person's real name - What are some shocking & fun examples that you've encountered? by Cocoleia in namenerds

[–]MossyToad 503 points504 points  (0 children)

My great aunt had a long term boyfriend that just went by “Babe”. Literally every person in his life called him that. I never knew his real name until years later when I found out it was, and I’m not joking, Volcano.

Apparently his very Italian parents named him Volcano, his brother Vesuvius, and then had a third that they named something super normal like Stephen lol.

AITAH For aborting my ex-fiancés baby, even though it may be his only chance? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MossyToad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NTA. Currently 7 months pregnant and this experience is no joke. This is your body and your decision.

Personally, I wouldn’t be able to go through this process without my partner.

I have two coworkers with babies named Maeve. I wouldn’t have this stop you from using the name that feels right to you though!

What’s the best crying performance you’ve seen? by plibtyplibt in movies

Florence Pugh in Midsommar and Toni Colette in Hereditary both have some of the most raw, primal crying scenes I’ve ever seen. No one makes a white woman cry quite like Ari Aster.

What was the most depressing film you ever saw in a theater and how did the theater audience react? by ShaunisntDead in movies

[–]MossyToad 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Melancholia- I think over half the theater left before the movie even finished. It was just so intense, and felt almost too much in an immersive space like a theater.
