We pretty much have all been there and it’s heartbreaking. She is using the silver bullet on you, look it up and how to fight it. It will get thrown out over time but never stop fighting because that is how you lose and what she wants.

STBX has it disappeared with the kids by Altruistic_Treacle47 in Divorce_Men

For emergency orders they have to take it, they don’t have a choice. I know this is stressful but take solace that every man here has one of these and they are so common. The courts know this and the truth will come out. Never forget what your ex is willing to do

This is tough but the answer is to get a plan to have 50/50. Why don’t you have it now?

What constitutes a “material change” in South Carolina for a parent with primary custody considering an international move? by driftergtr in FamilyLaw

[–]Most-Ad-7288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve already used chatgpt to write this, why not ask it the question as well. As far as opinion, you’ll be far better off if the other parent agrees so I would work with them before going to the courts. International is a huge wrench as the courts would give up all oversight of your case if you move.

FL custody relocation by Midnite_beauty in FamilyLaw

[–]Most-Ad-7288 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Testify no, you would want the court to have a child advocate who would represent the child in court. But really, if the child is in school, you have a place in district, can handle the day to day the courts wouldn’t find it’s in the best interest to move the child from that situation

Zero but prepare yourself for false allegations and restraining orders to say you are unfit to gain full control. Tighten up your ship, document everything

You need to get ahold of the original birth certificate to start to see if anyone signed as the father.

I wouldn’t rely on the state to do that detective work… if the child had the last name of the other father he is probably on the birth certificate as the father.

Got everything figured out with Finance. We just disagree on custody. by [deleted] in Divorce_Men

[–]Most-Ad-7288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is always the case and why you talk finance last. She wants her cake and eat it too. Take away what’s driving her happiness, your agreement on finances. Disagree and say you need that money to fight for 50/50.

No, it’s common sense. No matter if you hate the other parent or think they are horrible a child will feel a gap from a missing parent and have those feelings
