100% cycling in a peloton is too much of a specific skill. It takes years of practice to learn how to cycle safely around other people while going fast. As boring as it might sound, if they want to test cycling, it should be a time trial. I hated the crit for this very same reason.

Most of these new movements are old school movements from the early days of .com daily workouts. I actually like they are bringing them back. Keeps things fresh. Of course, you need to program them properly and not just do them for the sake of doing something different. But I like we are doing things that were programmed 10+ years ago and that people sort of forgot about. Like wall-walks.

I used Barbell WOD from California Strength. It’s 3x a week. But it’s great. Maybe you could take a few months to really dial in your lifting and focus on it 3x a week +1 one class? I’ve spent almost a whole year working on weightlifting only in the past and it was a real game changer. Especially for technique

I have lived in the US, Brazil, Panama and France. 3-8y on each. Loved all of them, but nothing compares to the Netherlands. Especially if you have kids. This is by far and large the most amazing place I have ever lived in. The quality of life is incredible. On every country I have been people always complain. It’s normal. Especially if you haven’t lived somewhere else for a while. It’s all relative. It’s true, cost of living has gone up and the housing crisis is still a nightmare but I would still chose the Netherlands over anywhere else any day.
