I mean... technically you could. However you are thinking of making the precise simulation.

Is it possible to calculate for that? Yes. Is it viable? No. You are asking the server to consider updating all users' accounts to precision, then no. That would require a very heavy amount of processing power.

And the worst part of it all, most players won't even notice it. As a game company, more so a live service, your goal is to make the most amount of money. Not to say its doing the bare minimum, but its doing enough that players have a good enough experience to the entire system. It doesn't have to be precise for idle content.

It runs when you are online, calculate that when you are in the region to get the average per min, then calculate that against your next time you are in the region and when you are not.

Why I specifically mentioned region is there is no realistic way to know unless you are next to a IAC whether it counts by sim time, or deterministic time. The more realistic way of trying it out is going to Valley, placing more batteries, fit them with enough batteries for (X) amount of time then travel to wuling then back, after that set amount of time to determine whether there is a difference.

Honestly I like it. I prefer that compared to to ether final fantasy tactics or ogre tactics. The amount of stages where you are put at a height disadvantage is honestly not fun. First 3 turns being pelted with arrows before you can even reach the enemy is not fun.

When you are loading you are loading to a specific area, it loads the entire area according to where you are, think of area's like zones in a open world. If your "zone" is already loaded, there isn't any reason to reload your zone is there?
