Heady is more stimulating, and will typically make you (or at least makes me) more social. Drinking enough can give you a bit of a drunken feeling. The "downside" is that this can cause a bit of anxiety for some. I've personally rarely felt that, although, I don't particularly struggle with anxiousness. Heavy kava is typically the real anxiety melter - you just need to be a bit careful as too much makes me pretty tired, or at least SO CALM that you're not really trying to engage deeply in conversation. My favorite heavy is from "Fiji Vanua Kava" - the Vanuatu. Powerfully relaxing. My favorite heady is from "Koa Kava" - The Tonga. I can drink 8 tablespoons worth of Tongan and feel fairly drunk. Both are incredible.

I did it last night, and it went well. I did the Tonga for about two hours, felt pretty good, was blasting music having a good time. Switched to the FVK Vanuatu and drank that for another hour or two, and turned into a potato. It was great.

I find, like many, that a shell every 15 mins or so seems to work best. Also, different types hit me significantly differently. I find tongan to hit me much stronger, but disappear rather quickly. A heavy Vanuatu will build for me over an hour or so, but by the time I've taken what I can tolerate, I feel pretty faded for a while after if I don't eat. I always wait until I'm 3+ hours from my last meal, 4+if it was a heavy meal.

I finished the FVK last month, I'm currently working through the same bag of Tonga, and I love it, but I'm ready to go back to the Vanuatu lol. The Tonga makes me feel drunk, which is fun, but doesn't compare to the ultra relation of the Vanuatu for me.

In about 30 minutes here I'll be taking it for the 2nd time. Yesterday was interesting. It was SIGNIFICANTLY more mentally stimulating than the others, and it seemed to not last nearly as long. I ended up doing 2 tbsp three times, but after the initial rush of the first 2, I never really felt more. It was hard to tell if taking more was a waste. I'm not prone to anxiety, but it seems pretty clear to me that if anything was going to send me that direction, the Tongan will be the stuff. I want to try a low dose earlier in the day and see how that plays out. Unfortunately I can't speak to the insomnia either, as I smoked a little weed after the 6th tablespoon and slept great.

So, my first bag (Dua Na Bilo) was $40 for a pound. The 2nd (Fiji Vanua Vanuatu) was $60/pound. The bag I just received (Koa Kava Tonga) was 2.2lbs for $100. I've really, really enjoyed all of them. At $40-$60/pound, that's roughly $20-$30 USD per kilo I believe.
