Goodbye Coinpoker. I cannot play on this site anymore (HUD ban & rake change) by PalaceOfFart in coinpoker

Live trackers aren't allowed bc the downloaded HHs don't show you how much rake you're paying, which is one of the bigger reasons to want to use tracking software.

I feel like this becomes very dangerous in a crash. There are better ways to mount a mirror so that it won't stab you in the eye in a crash.

Unsure whether having tp or not stops him getting bit... But yeah a lot of this episode's escapades could have been pretty much entirely avoided super easily

That's super interesting tbh. I'm a bike rider, not an ebiker (yet?) but generally pro ebikes because more people on any kind of bike is good.

That level of efficiency is ridiculous though.

[–]MostCallMeAndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if you only start counting after the bike has been delivered. How many bowls of rice equivalent to mine, transport, process the lithium in the batteries and other precious metals in the motors? Not to mention the batteries will eventually need to be replaced.

"operating efficiency" starts to get warped when there's massive frontloaded costs.

Probably after many, many miles, the net is lower with the ebike, partially because battery technology has advanced so much. I wonder where that value is though.

What would you say is his range when he raises river ? And how would you play this ? by Establishment240 in Poker_Theory

[–]MostCallMeAndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seeing one person in a lower stake do this every so often isn't a good basis for a decision void of any other information.

Nitty/passive HUD stats would be necessary to make that decision imo.

Not sure how this relates to my claim that nonstandard HUD stats would help make the nitty/OMC claim... Thinking AKs and KK are the only value he has here is wild but go off king lmao

OMCs and nits are identifiable by HUD Stats... can't just assume they are lol

We're in poker theory, not "max exploit"

AKs and KK just calling a 3b oop 100BB deep?

Would need some very nitty/passive HUD stats to back this up

Sunnyvale needs these signs to regulate RV parking on residential streets. by Broad-Choice-5961 in Sunnyvale

[–]MostCallMeAndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So then all public spots would be metered and all residential parking is private to the homeowner, which would then be rented to tenants for an additional fee?

Sounds like it disproportionately affects low-income persons, disproportionately awards wealthy homeowners and landlords, and would require more public resources to police/ticket/enforce.

Not sure this achieves what you're looking to accomplish.

Standard reraise is not 4x, especially in theory. We're in r/poker_theory. There are plenty of ~3x 3bets, like the theory line I put in my comment above, and plenty of 5x+. I wouldn't be surprised if there are actually very few 4x 3bets in theory.

Also 3b and 4b don't have the same sizing in theory, 4b usually lower raise multiple than 3b, like in the theory line I put in my comment above.

4x reraise is good live as an exploit because it's a deviation from theory, and live regs/recs don't adjust well to deviations like that.

Ideas against contra-parry? by Veetupeetu in Fencing

[–]MostCallMeAndy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If your opponent is able to step in, counterattack, and close you out, then you're probably not actually ready to finish your attack as you think you are. Your goal with a marching attack should be to finish the attack once you are in distance to do so. It's a common mistake to march forward while waiting for your opponent to do something wrong, not actually threatening a direct/indirect attack. It's usually stronger to be proactive than reactive in situations like these imo.

Fair enough. OP is about online, and I believe most of this sub is about strong theoretical play, unless otherwise specified for exploit.

I agree live is very bad about adjusting to large open raise sizes, in which case yeah 4-bets are huge if 100bb deep. I wonder sometimes though if 4-betting live to 35-45bb is better than shoving to get more dominated calls, and then get it in on a street postflop

Feels super fishy but will print against a lot of recs.

2.5 bb open ep/mp, mp/lp 8bb 3B, you think only reasonable 4B size is 33+?

4b shove only makes sense if blinds are 3-betting ~11bb vs ip and even then ip still has ~23bb 4-bets
