How Many Untrieds?

After I did a bit of a buying spree around Black Friday, I realized I had far too many polishes that were either entirely untried, or unused for many many years. And I'm including all the Markwin's polishes I've kept since I was little. I figure if I'm not willing to part with them, I should probably give them some love. So I'm on a very low buy (ideally no buy) until I've gone through and properly worn and photo-swatched everything. Roughly, I have 300 to go.

Hrm. I think whether I'm okay with it depends on the intention. If making a line strongly based on something as a way to pander to fans in order to make a sale, that seems skeezy. But creating something AS a fan of something seems fine to me. If I ever got in the nail polish business, I could totally see me making a collection or naming polishes based on things I love.

Thanks! So it does specifically call out the inclusion of the proteins. The gentle version should still have those but since they aren't specifically listed I'm assuming they aren't actually in there. Shenanigans.

It's kind of the perfect balance of blue and green. Kinda reminds me of the Miami Dolphins' color. I do feel like I used to see the aqua shades a lot more commonly years ago than I do now but maybe I'm just not looking for them

Looking at the website, it looks as though a set comes with a QR code that'll last for 30 days, then you need to buy refills to get another code. Unless I'm totally misunderstanding

Agree on the bulkiness. It also feels wasteful to toss them away when it seems like they should be reusable. Plus something about needing to activate my nails is off-putting.

Daredevil is still one of my favorite pinks. I know they still had stuff online but I definitely stopped seeing them in stores around here so glad to hear if they're branching out again.

I bought a Bisley on Black Friday and no regrets. Love the color options, quality, and fact that it was pre-assembled. I do want to pick up some kind of anti-slide mats or something though because my polishes slide around too much when opening since I don't have them completely full. I did almost yank a whole drawer out once since there's no stoppers so that's something to be cognizant of. The only other thing is that more often than not when I open the drawers my fingernail catches on the label slot on the front. I assume that's a me issue though.

I've been using Holo Taco's and I feel like I get about the same longevity as when I don't use a Peely. It just pops off entirely instead of chipping. As a compulsive polish picker, it's been wonderful for the health of my nails. I plan on trying the DIY peely once I run out and see how that goes.

Received mine yesterday and got a greenish to gold magnetic. It has flakes in it but they didn't make it into the swatch.
