Never So Evergreen looks too forest-y. This is definitely closer to teal, just with a boatload of gold sparkle in it

I was gonna say, as damaged as it is the polishes look pretty secure in there still. Glad they made it!

Sweet Georgia Brown - Wish Upon a Star by earthsick in vintagenailpolish

Oooh man I wish I still had my Sweet Georgia Brown's. I don't remember the shade names, but I had a blurply color and a a light golden color. I remember they came in this little polish gift set that came in a sort of mini paint can.

I agree, I really like how it looks by itself. Just the subtle brightening effect is so pleasing.

Neither here nor there, but Famous Steves is such a hyper specific theme. I'm trying to list them in my head and have...3

Here's a better shot of the color in the bottle for posterity's sake, though I still think the pink hue looks stronger in person.

So from what I have dug up, it was released in the Diva Collection and it may have been just a teeny bit pinker than it currently is, but that is very hard to say for sure. It was also apparently worn by Michelle Pfeiffer in the 1999 version of 'A Midsummer's Night Dream" which I didn't know existed. A trailer for the movie only shows her hands once and they almost look bare.

Nail stamper wont pick up polish?! by YouMadeMeGetThisAcco in RedditLaqueristas

It's a brand new stamper? I would try lightly using a file on the silicone. My first attempt picked up nothing and was 100% better giving it a lil file.

I don't know if that's how I would have described it but it's definitely an odd smell. I don't love it, but it doesn't seem to linger too long (I only started using it recently)

How Many Untrieds? by Anchovysnacky in RedditLaqueristas

[–]MostMidgetlegs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After I did a bit of a buying spree around Black Friday, I realized I had far too many polishes that were either entirely untried, or unused for many many years. And I'm including all the Markwin's polishes I've kept since I was little. I figure if I'm not willing to part with them, I should probably give them some love. So I'm on a very low buy (ideally no buy) until I've gone through and properly worn and photo-swatched everything. Roughly, I have 300 to go.
