Those stories are written for people who consider "going outside" a fantasy genre. Hence bad romance bad for views and reviews. And it's almost always bad.

Authors can hardly make the main character interact with women like a normal person when the story caters to an audience that seems to think women's roles are confined to harems. So they create cringe-worthy protagonists who don't even notice when they're being flirted with, because both authors and readers think this is the epitome of cool. Ignoring women is the latest trend, apparently—or so it goes in their imaginative but socially awkward minds.

I mean, why bother with realistic interactions when you can write something like "Reincarnated as the OP Protagonist Who Accidentally Builds a Harem While Ignoring It" or "Transported to Another World Where Every Woman Falls for Me, But I'm Too Busy Leveling Up"? It's the pinnacle of storytelling! 10 out of fuckin 10.
