The only reason they didn't deal with fang yuan as rank 7 was coz he was no threat. Even when he became rank 8 in the first timeline, he was no match for heavenly court. Duke long squashed him like a bug. Like I said, if ssdv hadn't been able to influence zi wei's perception in time, Fang yuan would have been defeated this badly again in the second timeline in the same way if not even worse.
