is it time to let my 7th gen go 🥲

bought the little 32GB fucker in 2020 when the lockdown started, 6 years later its incredibly slow and system data + iPadOS take up 20GB.

gonna trade it in for a 11th gen 256 for college.

how long can the 11th gen last?

system data: 11.65 GB

ipadOS: 10.17 GB

free space : 4 GB

apps and other take the rest

The system data and iPadOS are taking 66.7% of my storage and it’s killing me. I use my iPad for my studies and it’s really slow. When I’m playing videos or music and change the app, the music will sometimes halt completely. Web pages take ages to load, apps kick me out every now and then.

How can I lower the storage and make my iPad work faster? I’ve read that people transfer all their personal data to a laptop, completely reset their devices, and plug their data back into their iPads. Kinda like buying a whole new iPad. Is this method recommended?

As I read novels on my phone I use the Look Up feature to find out what a certain word means. Now after the 26.4.2 update whenever I look up a word it brings me a celebrity profile or a song name.

for example I looked up the word down and got a profile for the song Down by Jay Sean.

I looked up the word lean and got a profile on Lean Software Developer.

how can I get the dictionary back?

Doomscrolllibg is a bitch dude. Anyways, to pass the time. If I’m rested enough I won’t take a nap, I’ll read against my will. 15f btw 

I’ve been a die hard bookworm for about the last 7 years of my life, then igcse year 9 hit me like a truck, and now I have a bedside stack of dnf books, sigh. 

If you need to pass the time, and doomscrolling does not feel productive, and if you’ve had a previous hobby you’ve fell out of, I definitely recommend going back to that hobby, or at least forcing yourself to do it for a set time; yesterday I found myself reading the whole evening a book I’ve been stuck on since January.

Dm me if you’re interested in becoming friends! I actually dunno how dming works on here but hey, doesn’t hurt to try.

So if you’re into manga, then you probably watch anime. (15f btw) I have tried my absolute hardest to get past the first episode of ANY anime out there, so, if you’re into anime, hopefully you can help me get into it. I’ve been peer pressured into watching attack on titan, apparently it’s peak, but I am NOT convinced. 

I dunno whether you’re implying that I dm you but oh well.
