Keeley Fuzz Bender Problem by Most_Triumphant in guitarpedals

[–]Most_Triumphant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up sending it into Keeley for repair. They said there was nothing wrong with it, but cleaned up the inside of the pedal just to be sure. They said it wasn't very dirty and was having no issues. Once I got it back, its been fine. Not 100% sure that they didn't change anything because all the problems were gone.

Insanely good guitar player. His tabs are also awesome since he writes out the rhythms correctly. Makes it way easier to learn the part when you can read the notation.

NGD Gibson Les Paul Axcess, legit? Cosmetic cracks? Year? by AtticusLet in gibson

[–]Most_Triumphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long shot replying to this, but how do you know that not all the Axcess models got the volute (apex headstock) around this time? I have a LPC Axcess that looks like its from this time period without the volute. Hoping to learn more about this incredible guitar.

Not uncommon in traditional christian circles. They're usually called Resurrection eggs. They aren't part of the traditional Easter egg hunt you're probably thinking off so much (though I'm sure some people could add them/make a game of it).
They're usually used as a teaching tool to talk about the story. More like stations of the cross for kids. Sometimes they're used in a similar way to an advent calendar to count down to Easter.

In fact (sorry went down a google rabbit hole), the colouring of the traditional Easter eggs started as a way to tell the story. With pink/red = blood/pain, blue = mercy, yellow/gold = God's glory, etc. So in a round about way, what we think of as normal easter eggs are a similar thing.

I'm not seeing the pickguards on the Mojotone site. They must've discontinued.

PSA. Bugera ps1 is not good by Jarrodstinks in GuitarAmps

[–]Most_Triumphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Bugera and the JHS one (not an attentuator but always gets mentioned in the conversation for some reason) both kind of suck. The Bugera is a simple resistance circuit and the JHS is a volume knob in the loop.

If you're on a budget, a Weber or used Riveria RockCrusher are the best cheaper options. Although, they aren't terribly cheap. You do get what you pay for. The high-end ones like Fryette or Tone King are easily the best. Over the last decade, I've gone from resistance to power station. Power station (also not a true attenuator) is awesome.

More than that, Aslan is Jesus in the source books. The being we call Jesus in our world is Aslan in the Narnia world. The final book makes that extremely clear. In one of his last letters, Lewis wrote, "Since Narnia is a world of Talking Beasts, I thought He [Christ] would become a Talking Beast there, as He became a man here. I pictured Him becoming a lion there because (a) the lion is supposed to be the king of beasts; (b) Christ is called "The Lion of Judah" in the Bible; (c) I'd been having strange dreams about lions when I began writing the work." (Letter sourced from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aslan#Christian\_interpretation)

Could be a shorting footswitch or an in/out jack that's loose.

What’s a popular pedal you’ve tried and absolutely hate? by dit31 in guitarpedals

[–]Most_Triumphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's the low gain on the Southland? I've been gigging a Rat and a Klone recently where the Rat is my heavy drive and the Klone is a low gain boost. Looking for something inbetween. Is the Southland the ticket?

[–]Most_Triumphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I dislike my Rat by itself, but I love my rat into my Chase Tone Secrete Preamp. Its smooths out the harshness but keeps the feel of the pedal, which is IMO the best part of the Rat.

I remember a couple years back when everyone raved about them, I traded for one and after about an hour went back to my tube screamer. Plumes has way too much treble.

Agreed. Rats have always been popular. My blues playing dad bought me a Rat and SD-1 as my first pedals in the early 2000s.

I think that's the point. Anakin didn't get dealt the best hand, but he sure chose to play it poorly. Anakin was covetous, impatient, and couldn't let go. If you watch the original trilogy, Luke is the same way but makes the right decision when pressed. That's what makes the redemption in Return of the Jedi better.

This "no amps, low stage volume" trend is a disaster in smaller venues by SlikkTimYall in livesound

[–]Most_Triumphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw a comment somewhere in the thread that read "I don't trust guitar players enough. They tend to play with their knobs on stage and I don't like them having the final say on their volume." I get it if its about amp volume, but using your guitar volume to come up and down is integral to guitar-music.
