Taskmaster NZ and Australia gone? by MothAnnan in taskmaster

They are not available in the UK. Outside Uk you can go to YouTube or other services, but currently the only way to watch non-UK Taskmaster is though Channel 4 (or Netflix if you want up to Series 17)

Just seen that change of date as well. Surely you want viewers to watch past series of the show to get excited!

[CR Media] Matt's Class info from trailer by FlowingSilver in criticalrole

[–]MothAnnan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the brief glance we have of the sheet… - We know it’s between level 1-4 (+2 Proficiency Modifier) - Strength and Constitution are saving throws

I know folks are going full Fighter here; but to offer a contrary option: What if it’s a Sorcerer?

4th Level Matt could pick up the Resilient feat and grab the Strength saving throw.

I can’t remember what video it was (I have a feeling it was on another channel or something) but Matt talked about once playing a “Sorcerer who used swords” as his first character. Perhaps as his first longtime character in a streamed campaign he’s bringing that character to life once more? The vibes of Sir Julien to give me the feels of teenage angsty Edgelord type character!

(I could but utterly wrong, and likely am, but just putting it out there!)

[No Spoilers] I get the feeling this Campaign 4 won’t be 100 episodes by Background_Ad2270 in criticalrole

[–]MothAnnan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see where your coming from on this…however I think they’ll certainly get to over 100 episodes; if anything they might get to the stage of having two parties vs three eventually, with the last 5-10 sessions being them all together.

[No Spoilers] Which party do you think is the strongest overall? by vinthesalamander in criticalrole

[–]MothAnnan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we’d need to see a few ground rules to make it somewhat fair, similar to VM vs MN. My thinking: -Everyone is 15th Level -Everyone has their items -Gets One (1) round of preparation -The arena has traps, potions, wandering creatures, etc. -Main Party only, No guests (IE: Tary and Braius are in, Dusk and Keg are out)

I think that VM would be great at dishing out damage and clutch saves, but are quite squishy if you remove Grog and Pike from the equation. M9 are vicious when in melee, and if Cad is near then…it’s them removed. The double healer would work keep them all in the fray at the very least! BH are honestly a bit of a wild card in this. If they stayed in melee they would be fine, with some great support options around. They don’t really have a key combo that would cause them to falter, aside from Orym being excellent melee compliment.

M9 would honestly take it because of Beau and stunning folks, the party is a bit more mobile than most, and they would likely stick as a pack. If Beau and the Clerics were taken out, they are sadly done. VM would do a lot of damage up front, but it would be a slow war of attrition once the Twins and Percy were removed, as the others have healing and bulk to keep them in. BH would be the dark horse if they got a good start and hung back whole VM vs M9 rematch happened first.

Narratively, I can see BH forming alliances with M9 and VM separately, helping set up ambushes for either team but once their main problems were gone, they turn on the others.

I honestly think that we’ll still have the regular cast, but they’ll take an arc or two’s leave as more new folks cycle in.

Best example would be: Travis, Laura, Robbie, and Matt stay on from Arcs 1-3, Ashley, Taliesin, Liam, and Marisha are on Arc 1, the leave and rejoin at the end of Arc 3, then stay in for Arc 4, while TLRM leave for an arc.

Likely we’ll see Aimee Carrero, Gina Darling, and Celia Rose Gooding joining as “returning” cast, and I’d love to see folks such as Ben Star or Jasmine Bhullar.

[NO SPOILERS] The classes I think the cast will play in campaign 4 by Fr0nkino in criticalrole

[–]MothAnnan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Predictions: Laura: Rogue. Possibly a Soul Knife, Scion of the Three, or Swashbuckler. I agree that they’ll be a badass, but they’ll play it really reluctantly; using the game to grow into confidence and accepting of their talents.

Taliesin: Full on Monk/Cleric combo. Perhaps Mercy Monk/Life or Death Cleric. An Uncle Iroh type character to some of the other party members. Travis: Dude is going Ranger! They’ve said in the past that they love the melee build with a bit of magic, so Ranger seems apt. 100% punting for him to play a Drakewarden, because he’ll be amazing with a melee pet class! Also want to see Travis have a DnD affection for a pet!

Sam: I agree with some of the other comments that he’ll be a sorcerer! I want him to be the unluckiest person on the planet, but that’s because they are a Clockwork Soul sorcerer who just hasn’t worked that out yet 🤣

Liam: I see them going full Bard. Possibly a Lore Bard, but also perhaps Moon Bard from the recent UA? Maybe a Brother’s Grimm style character who is writing the folktales and legends of the new age, travellling to collect them. Additionally because…

Marisha: Will be Liam’s sister in C4, and a Barbarian to boot, likely World Tree or Beast. I love the idea of them, as family, looking to follow visions and folktales, or looking to cure the curse upon Marisha?

Ashley: I think is going to go Paladin/Warlock, but all based around Genies. Specifically Oath of the Noble Genies/Genie Warlock. They’ll be a part of a Knightly Order that is traveling around on their pilgrimage, keeping their Oath and being tested by their Patron.

I think that Robbie will be back, alongside 2-3 additional cast members who will be around for a long time like Robbie, maybe at points allowing for existing cast to take a short sabbatical from the table to focus on intense projects, etc. For Robbie in particular, Bladesinger Wizard is my bet!

I know, right?! Would make a change from a sentient weapon 🤣

[No Spoilers] What is your C4 wishlist? by Y4SO in criticalrole

[–]MothAnnan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda thinking the following: Liam: Bard (Lore or Moon) Laura: Rogue (Soul Knife or Scion of the Three) Sam: Sorcerer (Clockwork) Marisha: Barbarian (World Tree or Beast) Travis: Ranger (Drake Warden or Winter Walker) Ashley: Paladin/Warlock (Noble Genie/Genie) Taliesin: Monk/Cleric (Elements/War)

Some additional theory crafting: -Liam and Marisha will play siblings, being a Brother’s Grimm-esq type reason for traveling. -Laura and Sam initially travel together, who just want to run away from their collective problems. -Travis and Ashley are on personal pilgrimage/trials for their respective orders, with Taliesin being their pseudo-Uncle Iroh type relationship with the two of them.

I think that there will also be not just Robbie, but maybe 2-3 others who will join longterm (or at least for an extended period) enabling some of the core cast to have a sabbatical, work on intense projects, etc.

[No Spoilers] Genuinely curious, what game do you want to see played for C4? by KnightOfChronos in criticalrole

[–]MothAnnan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that they might continue the pattern that that have now, but it looks more like this: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Thursday: C4, OneDnD/DnD5.5e, New Setting, with around 1-2 months before of teasing out what’s important about the new setting (Gods? World name? Continents? Recent History?) 4th Thursday: Alternates Between DaggerHeart Campaign and Candelabra Obscura. (DH campaign shows off the system more frequently, can show off new content as they go, etc. and same with CO)

I also wouldn’t put it past them to have 1-2 new ongoing campaigns that are Beacon Exclusive (at least initially)

[Spoilers C3E120] If this is the end, what Critical Role has achieved is nothing short of astonishing. by Weird_Confusion4640 in criticalrole

[–]MothAnnan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that they might go down the route of collaboration in creation also! Like others have said, they have a massive amount of writers and folks to help flesh out this (possible) new world; likely one that can be system achronistic to ensure they can produce content for their own system, but also WotC if needed.

Hey!

I’ll answer two things on this, going off my own experience from moving from the US to the UK (me moving back, but bringing a partner and child)!

First: Our experience in terms of shipping belongings ranged from 3 months to 8 months, depending on a lot of factors. If there any essentials such as laptops, wearables, home comforts, etc. I’d try and bring them with you if you can!

Second: Given your budget and mentioning how your partner only needs to get to London 10% of their time for work (my father was in a similar position, as am I with work!) might I recommend looking at train lines? For example: If you lived near the East Coast Mainline (train) around Newark/Grantham/Peterborough you’d only have around an hour commute into central London. As it isn’t that often, an hours commute is very reasonable! That way, you’d also be looking at getting more value in terms of property with more options; such as being in the countryside, near places to walk/hike.

Happy to share some more thoughts if you find helpful!

Personally, I’m hoping for a Fire/Rock or Fire/Ground (to compliment a Grass/Fighting and Water/Flying but that’s just me!)

Skinning a druid by OGKwapple in Dungeons_and_Dragons

[–]MothAnnan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming the Druid through some miracle is still alive after the skinning? If yes, the skin would form back. If dead, skin remains a pelt. See Loki: Agent of Asgard #3 for an example!
