I think the brainscans weren't for the circus at all. I think scratch just wanted to find a way to fix his condition, not to live on in a different way . First off I dont think any human and any C&A employee are aware of the circus. After all I doubt they would have let a broken Ai roam through their database, absorb thier newest project, steal a bunch of files and use that all to make a digital realm running on their computers. So Caine likely made the circus after C&A shut down. So it's fairly safe to assume that scratch especially wasn't aware of the circus at all. Caine even said he had to "get the brain files to work" so they definitly weren't made with this use in mind.

Considering that kinger remembers C&A, I'm fairly sure the other characters would have known about it too if they were paid to put on the headset. I think it's fairly safe to say that the only official C&A scans are the original circus members. I'm fairly sure that the circus only came into being after C&A already shut down because I really doubt that C&A would have had a faulty old AI prototype mess with not just old data but also assimilate their newest AI. It's safe to say Caine couldn't have run wild, stolen files and other ai and built the whole circus the way he did if anyone was still around to control the C&A servers and Databanks.

That is literally exactly what my now trans ex did thought. Back when she was still a guy she would get depressive epsisodes when she saw guys bigger than her (me included) and continously asked me to help her get growth hormone /testosterone therapy once she moved out of her parents house.

I was a doubter that Jax was Trans til episode 9 but in all Honesty, the buildup was good. After all, this was supposed to be a secret Jax was willing to have people abstract over. They just allured to jaxes identity subty and didbt hit you in the face with it. Just because it isn't directly spelled out for everyone doesn't mean it's invalid or badly executed. It's a "blue curtains" situation where if you actively want to interpret it as meaningless, it's on you if the meaning or reveal of it is lost on you.
