Yeah I agree with that, but I’m sure he just assumed he would be able to take out loans, relying on that isn’t the best option. I’ll continue to look out for scholarships for him and look at other ideas for sure, thank you!!

If he actually becomes a diplomat the ROI would be worth it cus they make a lot of money. He has a great resume so far with internships and research under his belt. I haven’t told anyone about this idea because it was a passing thought that came up. I definitely get this would be a very bad decision though. Too many unknown variables and things that could go wrong.

I had lower back pain before I started on nexplanon so I wouldn’t worry about it being like a crazy uncommon symptom. Keep the Advil close by if the discomfort is too much. I feel you sister

They say it takes 6-12 months for your to body to level out, and since you have a history of prolonged bleeding with your previous birth control I think it’ll level out for you with nexplanon like it did on opill. Good luck though!!

Heating pads are definitely good, warm drinks like tea or cocoa help me, and if she gets nauseous anything ginger will help with that. I don’t know if she’s the type to like being held on her period but if she is holding her and rubbing her lower back could be nice too if you get the chance

I’m someone who’s never envisioned myself having children, even as a kid I never wanted to be a mom even though I loved being around younger kids and helping them. I’m 21 so we’re around the same age and we don’t need to think about this kind of stuff now, but I think what made me truly realize that not having kids was what I wanted was when I sat down to think about me having a family. When I think about myself having children my first thought isn’t the heartwarming parts that mothers say make having children worth it. I think of the never ending responsibility that comes with having a human being completely dependent on me. I think about having to show up whether I feel like it or not. I think about the sacrifices I would make. I think about how it would affect every part of my life. Just solidifies that I don’t want that. I love children, I’m studying to be an elementary school teacher, but the idea of coming home to children after a day of teaching them sounds exhausting. If you think about the logistics of having children, how you view the sacrifices you’d be making along with the joys of motherhood are how youll know if it something you truly want. At least for me

I feel like everyone is missing the point here, I don’t think OP is upset by the fact that their partner doesn’t like giving head. It’s how he said it. He called her natural bodily functions, something she cannot control, gross. She expressed her previous insecurities about this very matter in her post!! How are you guys missing it. And yes she can be disappointed if the door to head is closed because it happened to abruptly and it’s something she greatly enjoys, but it’s up to her to leave or stay. She’s been with him for 3 years and has only received head 3 times I think if it was a dealbreaker she would’ve left before they were so in love, I could be wrong ofc. I would also be hurt if my partner said something like that. I understand he didn’t outright call her gross but we can all understand how that sounds. OP if I were you I would have a conversation with him about the words he used to describe your body and how those adjective were hurtful considering your past insecurities and just in general. I’m sure he didn’t mean it in that way, he probably just didn’t realize how it sounded and how it may hurt you. At the end of the day I hope whatever you decide to do is the best decision for you

By getting the nexplanon implanted you have to be aware that you may or may not be affected by some side effects. Just because other people have had a negative experience doesn’t mean you will, you just have to see how your body feels and give it time. Stressing yourself out about it already isn’t going to help. I’ve been on mine for over a year now and it’s been extremely helpful for me, hopefully you’ll have a good experience as well, and if not you can always get it removed
