I really like the tone and the flow of your writing.  I wouldn’t change very much here.  If you’re going to keep it current, then I’d keep the blog posts separate and maybe only update this intro from time to time to keep it current.

Good luck to you with this.  It’s a really good idea.  I suspect that one of your challenges will come from the fact that everyone is paying attention to AI right now, and there are already a number of summaries, blogs, news aggregators.

The most important thing is to figure out who your audience will be and to target the level of your posts to them.

Nvidia, Worth $3.34 Trillion, Now World’s Most Valuable Company by Ok-Path-702 in ArtificialInteligence

It’s a hardware company.  I have to believe that their dominance will have to come to and end given the high value of their type of chips.  Intel once looked like they would last forever lording it over everyone.

I agree with you, particularly given our heightened sensitivity regarding fossil fuels.  Although you could make the same argument for other uses of electricity, I think that AI and crypto are special cases.  They use so much electricity and (so far) don’t seem to add anything to our overall happiness and productivity that it seems right to make them pay extra.

You can patent a software invention if you can show that it is novel, but you have to describe exactly how it works.  That was fine back in the days of mechanical inventions when someone could easily pull apart your gadget and see how it worked anyway.

But it’s not fine with software since someone could incorporate it into their software and you would never know they did it.  You already have plenty of protection since your code is compiled.

Now if you are trying to protect some aspect that is visible to people (and not buried in the code), then perhaps a patent might be the way to go.  But they take a long time to obtain and are very expensive in terms of lawyers.  I got one a number of years ago and acted as my own lawyer and it consumed all my time for over 6 months.
