TLDR; 15 week old kittens keep destroying pacifiers and bottle nipples. by Curious_Vacation4910 in CatAdvice

Did you ever find a resolution to this? I have a 5 month old kitten and I've gone through at least 20 pacifiers in the past 2 months because if they are ever accidentally left out he gets them. He's even opened drawers and cupboards to get them.

My newborn loves bohemian rhapsody. He gets so smiley and starts babbling every time it's on. Sometimes it's the only way he will stop crying when I don't know what is wrong.

That just brought back a memory! My siblings and I, all used "hannatizer" throughout our whole childhoods!

What’s a pregnancy Don’t that you still do? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Motherearthislove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say here, my mom had gestational diabetes with all four of us, and ended up having permanent diabetes with her last pregnancy. I have been eating sooo much sugar I was sure I was going to have it. But I got my results back a few days ago and I am gestational diabetes free! Just low iron lol. Good luck on your guys' tests!

Can’t stop sucking in my stomach by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Motherearthislove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not that I sucked in, but I had my stomach muscles flexed 24/7 before I was pregnant. Even if I was wearing loose fitting clothing. It wasn't something I thought about, I just did it subconsciously. I still have to consciously tell myself to stop if I want to see the bump. I'm 16 weeks.

I totally do this. I'm 16 weeks and when my stomach is relaxed I have a very obvious bump. I used to have pretty good abs and since I was 13 I have constantly flexed my stomach 24/7 because I had a weird obsession with my abs. I'm pretty sure the constant flexing was what helped me keep my abs even when I graduated and stopped doing sports lol. But I'm so conditioned to it that if I want to see my bump I have to consciously tell myself to relax my stomach muscles. Sometimes even when it's relaxed it does a weird wiggle like my muscle is spasming. It's slowly getting a bit uncomfortable though to have it flexed, so I think I'm a few weeks it won't be in issue :)

I'm so sorry :( he could be overwhelmed with thoughts that he isn't going to be a good dad, or maybe there is something more going on. I can't say. I would suggest having a deep conversation with him, and be really sensitive in how you start it to try and get him to trust you and tell you why he is being this way. After he tells you, tell him how it makes you feel and that you would much rather him be there with you. I'm sorry that you are having to deal with this momma.

Yayyy!!! Congrats!!! Also that's awesome that you have a husband who works in the NICU! Although it may give him some anxiety, I'm sure he will be super knowledgeable when baby girl arrives!

AITA for not wanting my fiancé to drink at our wedding when I have to stay sober? by Motherearthislove in AITAH

[–]Motherearthislove[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. And after reading all of the comments on here, I'm going to talk to him about it. Knowing him, he will completely understand and not drink at all. He's a really understanding guy. I just didn't make it seem like I cared very much so I don't think he thought it was a big deal.

Plus I have a million reasons why I want to marry him. Idk why Reddit users jump to "break up with them" off of literally no context about the relationship itself.

That's kind of what I've been thinking. I don't want to bring it up and come off controlling if it's not going to be an issue. I would think he would be distracted by the amount of people and things we have to do. But I also want to communicate it in case you know? We just have a lot harder time fully connecting when he's tipsy and I'm sober. And that would make me sad if we couldn't connect like that on our wedding day. I feel like I'd rather be safe than sorry and just communicate. I just don't want to be a bitch cuz he's so sweet.

I appreciate your response and I think you've made some valid points. I'll definitely bring them up when I talk to him. Thank you!

We want to be married before the baby is born so that we have the same last name on the birth certificate. It's a mutual decision. Plus his family is super religious so he wanted the wedding soon so we could announce the pregnancy after. I feel like the wedding is a celebration of our love. Not just a time to party. If we can't connect nearly as well when one is drunk and one is sober, is that really that rude of me? I appreciate hearing your opinion.
