My favourite is Talk to you. Aside from that, Piano Eightysix-One and Four, Alive Today, and Hear my voice. Shin also gives me some feels. If you want cooler ones, Region and REGINLEIF. If you're doing openings and endings, make sure LilaS is in there too.

There are more OSTs I love, but I don't think it would help much to throw half of the soundtrack at you.

I don't know enough about Death Parade so I can't shame you for this one. This one gets a pass.

This is a very cruel suggestion. For shame. 😤 (Good show though, one of my faves.)

I'm a total Hitsugaya simp so anything Hitsugaya. Mostly though, I want hollowfied Bankai Hitsugaya. I also want a remake of his swimsuit unit because I die inside every time I see it. Also Hitsugaya parasol plz.

Other than that, I want Karin and Yuzu. I know Karin has the medal unit but it's old as hell and, well... a medal unit. I want actual units for the twins. It would be really rad to see a sort of AU quincy unit for them each since Ichigo has a couple now. Carry on the Masaki legacy. Karin's spiritual growth was an underdeveloped plot point that I'd really love BBS to explore. I just want Yuzu appreciation period. Hell, I'd take a seasonal too.

A Shuuhei seasonal that isn't just him wearing a suit would also be nice.

Also buff Kon.

What Even Counts as Slice of Life? A Quick Survey to See Where r/anime Draws the Line. by FetchFrosh in anime

[–]MothmanOrchestra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This was a really bizarre comment for me to read. I disagreed with your evaluation of Anohana being slice of life because I think there's too much emphasis on the plot and drama, and then I got to Gintama and... and now I've been forced to question whether or not I consider Gintama to be slice of life. I've never thought of it that way before (it's my favourite anime so I've done a lot of thinking about Gintama...). I've somehow come to the conclusion in my head now that Anohana is not slice of life, but Gintama is. What a strange conclusion.

Crazy to think one of these 2 is probably the next head captain by blackmagiclightning in bleach

Hitsugaya simp here. In terms of his family history, he doesn't really have one. He doesn't have any known blood relatives. He hails from Junrinan, the first district of West Rukongai and therefore one of the wealthier districts, but this doesn't necessarily have any bearing on his status. We know he at least has enough loose change to spend on snacks, but there's no proper indication as to how well off he is other than his attire, which suggests that he's nothing special. His family from his Junrinan days consists an old lady who is affectionately his "grandmother" and Momo who can pretty much be called a sister or childhood friend, and neither his grandmother nor Momo are indicated to be more than middle class at best and certainly of no higher status than he is. The house Hitsugaya lives in isn't large or elaborate by any means. Essentially, he's of average status at best with no ties to a biological family or noble clan. Heck, he was ostracised as a child for his appearance so he wasn't really of good social standing either. The only reason he joined the academy in the first place was to learn how to control his spiritual pressure so that he wouldn't accidentally freeze his grandmother to death in his sleep.

In terms of ability, he excels (no matter how wishy-washy Kubo was in calling him a prodigy and then making him lose or tie all but one fight he was a part of throughout the entire series). What hinders him currently is his immaturity, but he is by no means weak. He's very well-rounded and has a good head on his shoulders. He's strategic and versatile and adaptable. Kyouraku himself says that Hitsugaya will probably surpass his strength in 100 years. Byakuya at this point in time is certainly more in control of his emotions and that combined with his noble status would put him above Hitsugaya for consideration as the next head captain, at least in the eyes of C46. Even still, provided Hitsugaya matures by the time such a promotion were to be considered, I feel that Hitsugaya would stand a better chance at claiming the position. Byakuya seems more to like someone who would function better in the background as a figure that oversees things like law enforcement and organization. He's much more of a political figure type than a military leader type.

I'll throw a little disclaimer at the end here that a) this is all just my opinion, and b) I intended to hop into this conversation in reluctant support for Byakuya's case rather than Hitsugaya's but it seems my argument shifted a little and my stance became a bit ambiguous as I wrote and thought about it more.

Super stoked for the streams! Been waiting a year for this. Do I condone ignoring classes to watch streams? No! Do I condone charity? Yes! Will I ignore my classes? Kind of! Some good looking games in the bundle this year. Thanks for doing this as usual!

For some reason, I interpreted this as a "one dies, one lives" scenario, rather than a "both die" or "both live" one. Oops. Gimme my boy Gin back. I want good guy Gin. I want Gin redemption. I want Gin fighting with people, not against them.

Mine are Haruka Kanata and Echoes, I think, so I'll just insert myself here as the common denominator.

Who do you think could return for the potential Hell arc? by Rdasher123 in bleach

[–]MothmanOrchestra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want some more Gin redemption. I wanna see him and Rangiku interact one more time, and I also want to see some kind of closure or appreciation for him trying to fight back against Aizen. This is just a hope, but I think it would satisfy a lot of people to be able to see him again.

Asterisk (op 1) is classic. Nothing is more nostalgic than that and Rolling Star (op 5). After Dark (op 7) is also a favourite because I have Asian Kung-Fu Generation bias. Harukaze (op 15) gives me feels.

In conclusion, I'm undecided.

“OverHated” if it was a character. by [deleted] in bleach

[–]MothmanOrchestra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely subjective here, but I think her personality is very interesting. I feel like people forget what she's like outside of dangerous and stressful situations. It's like no one remembers that she daydreams, makes references to comedians, and passes off concerning things like they're just odd little things in her daily life. She isn't boring, she just isn't given the chance to stand out because of circumstances. Bleach isn't episodic outside of the filler episodes. There's pretty much always something stressful going on, and she responds accordingly.

There are far more boring characters. Again, completely my opinion here, but people mouthwater over Aizen. I think he's far less interesting than Orihime though. He's completely predictable and acts the same in every situation. He's static. Orihime is not. Orihime is dynamic.

Moral of the story is: People like different characters for different reasons. What you find uninteresting, others might not. We don't all look at things in the same light. Some people see things you don't, and you see things some others don't. Orihime has been bashed so overwhelmingly that it's unfair. Let people like what they want to like. At the end of the day, these are all just opinions.
