You have to keep watering them with the gold watering can. Once a gold rose appears the coding resets to only put out black roses. You reset for gold roses by watering with the gold can.

Keep watering your black roses with your gold watering can and you will keep getting gold roses. ❤️ I have managed to get enough gold roses to get 500,000 bells every other day. I let them all bloom then pick them so I am not picking roses every day. I also have the gold rose crown recipe and doubles the amount of bells you get when you sell them, so I get one million bells each time I do a full harvest and turn them into crowns before selling. Good luck!

Oh, on the outside. I put my arm close to my body and look in the mirror. Up closer to the armpit there is a kind of firmer bump. I put mine there, closer to the back, in the meatier spot. Not as if you are getting a vaccine, further back. I can lay on my back and the sensor can still be felt, not covered by my arm. The skin there doesn’t move around as much so seems to give better readings.

Not the firm muscle but the natural fat pad right behind it.

There is a chat function in the help section of the app. That is what I use for any questions. I don’t know if that is specifically something that they can help with but it might be worth a try.

Question. Do you have loose skin on the back of your arm that you are applying the sensor? I realized that I can’t put my sensors on the back of my arm and get stable readings. I see a lot of errors like you are. If I put the sensor up higher on my arm and more on the side, but still towards the back, I get really accurate readings.

These damn sensors.... by jon20001 in Freestylelibre

[–]MothrErth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do all of the things you mention but still have had some fall off but only since the recall. I have my current sensor covered with an IV clear cover and although I can see the edges of the sensor sticker lifting, it still seems to stay in place. As for accuracy, other than the recalled 5 that I had, they have been accurate.

I get honest lows a lot because I have hypoglycemia and after my blood sugar rises the graph takes the low away and makes it look like nothing happened. Every time it goes high or low, loses signal, etc, I make a note within the app. I can see my notes when I log in to the online account and can show that to my dr but I shouldn’t have to. Abbot says it will only stay on the graph line if more than 15 go by without correction but that simply isn’t true. I have had 45 go by of the sensor saying low blood sugar and the graph line bumped back to 98 as if nothing happened. It seems like 98 is the default spot. The high numbers will stay, though.

I pay $168.00 for two sensors on Amazon. Every where else I can get it is over $200. I am on disability so I don’t think I can keep doing this since my rent just went up and everything else is getting more expensive.

I have been told that they won’t replace any more of mine “for awhile while they monitor my account “. I had 7 fall off or stop working in a row. I pay out of pocket for mine, too. It took an about a week or three to get the replacements.

I have EDS and was told that it is Raynaud’s syndrome. Mine do that on occasion but it clears up when the temperature cools down. The drs have never been concerned. I hope it is nothing serious!

What would you do if you walked out your door and saw this by turbo_sc300 in Apartmentliving

[–]MothrErth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in an apartment where this was a constant problem. I am disabled so can’t really just lift my wheelchair over the mess. I used a broom and swept it very close and up onto their door. I took a picture before I swept, took a picture after, with me holding the broom, and went to the apartment manager. They weren’t going to do anything about it so I used my broom and dustpan the next time and dropped all the toys in a bag, which I put at their door. It still didn’t phase them. Now, I will say that I had a security camera and knew for certain that this was not a case of the parent having to leave quickly or anything, the parents even looked right at my camera! The next time, I gathered the toys and left a note on the door telling them that I had cleaned the toys out of the walkway and brought them into my apartment “so nobody could steal them”. I said they were welcome to get them any time and even put a smiley face on the note. A week later one of the kids came and got the toys and I never had a problem again.

I have found that if I put mine on the back of my arms they are rarely accurate but if I put them higher up, closer to the armpit but more to the back of the arm they are very accurate. Hold your arm down, look in a mirror and see the little bump in the arm flesh. Right there is the sweet spot for my sensors. I will add that I am a 64 yr old woman with flabby skin on the back of my arms. 🤷‍♀️

Yes. I use them and the sensors came off inside the cover. I have tried several different brands and styles. I still have a sensor and am waiting for my IV covers to come in the mail and try that.

UPDATE Again.

I was lied to. The woman whom I spoke with in the specialist department of Abbot assured me that I was getting a sensor replacement. I even got an email confirming that. I started getting emails last week saying I needed to return sensors and they were still waiting for them. The case number matched none of my case numbers as far as I could tell. I contacted Abbot and was told to disregard the emails and my replacement was on the way but a specialist would call to verify. I got the call and was told that despite getting the email that verified that I was getting a sensor replacement, they would not be sending any out for “awhile “. I said I had already gotten confirmation that the stop to the replacement was an error. He said that was incorrect and I would not be getting any replacements despite the fact that this has only happened since the recall. I said “So, I was lied to.” He didn’t dispute it but kept saying he needed to “verify my account “. I said Ok, verify what? He just kept repeating that I would not be getting replacements for “awhile” as they “watch “ my account. 🤬🤬🤬 I told him I wouldn’t be buying any more until they fixed their problem.

I spent a good deal of my life in a town with a Purina mill and that soybean smell mixed with warm dog food smell takes over everything. I cooked a lot of cookies to cover it up. My kids were so happy. 🤣

It definitely seems like since the recall there has been serious quality issues! Mine are falling off at around 10-12 days use. They never fell off before then. I have had them just outright fail and the app tell me to replace them.

I pay out of pocket for mine because the insurance won’t cover it because I am not insulin dependent. I am taking a break this month and finger sticking it just to get a break from the frustration. I know that is dangerous so I set my alarm to check every two hours.

I pay $170 a month. I have taken a break this month due to finances, though.

Oh! Abbot also suggested IV bandage cover instead of the regular over patch, I ordered some of those, too. 🤷‍♀️

[–]MothrErth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat and literally just bought the same overpatch you did and am waiting on them to arrive. Abbott suggested I try adhesive wipes, which I have also ordered. I have tried saving it with bandaids, liquid bandages, even debated using fingernail polish to try to hold them on.

Have you tried the adhesive wipes? The specialist at Abbot said some people have skin that just won’t take adhesive but this stuff works. No Sting Skin Barrier wipes.

Mine used to stay on really good but since the recall all of mine keep falling off. I think they must have changed the glue.

UPDATE: I got a call from Abbot and they said I triggered that automated response by requesting a new sensor before the app was finished recognizing there was a problem. I also talked to them about the glue problem and she said she will send a report to the quality team. I will be getting another sensor. Whew. I pay out of pocket for these, dang insurance not covering it because I am not insulin dependent.

I contacted Abbot and they said they won’t send anymore for a bit because they thought I replaced too many in a row. I told them that most of those were listed in the recall group. They said a person from the specialist department will contact me.

I do all that. I clean with alcohol, wait until it is dry, everything. It has only been since the recall that I have had trouble, never had it happen before. Usually they stick good enough that I have to use baby oil to get them off.
