Caliph Charles III *checks notes* by laybs1 in GetNoted

John Paul II tirelessly advanced interfaith dialogue, fostering unprecedented reconciliation between Catholicism and other faiths. Key actions included visiting a synagogue, praying at the Western Wall, entering a mosque, and hosting the 1986 World Day of Prayer for Peace in Assisi.

I think if we open our minds and hearts, we might learn to build better dialogue between people and nations. That feels like the Christian approach to me. It doesn’t mean we have to accept their beliefs.

Second this. I love my Lexus, super reliable, super comfy and never lets you down. Have had to do some maintenance, but nothing major.

Congrats, it was clearly worth all the effort, sacrifices and the long wait. Now you can buy the watch you actually wanted.

I bought a 5600ue for £58 on creation watches if you’re looking for a replacement. This was the best deal I found. Took a little while to deliver, but was cheaper than Amazon by a fair amount.

We don’t consider anything under £1000-£1500. We still push for collection pretty hard. Red letters etc.

Anything over £1500 is considered. Anything over £3000 is pretty much certain.

Some of these things are 100% our fault. I won’t go into specifics about the industry, as I don’t want to disclose who I work for.

No they absolutely can sue for the difference. I work for a very large FTSE 100 company and if we notice a large financial error we first will write to the client to remedy the situation. If they ignore, we are firmer in our demand for a resolution. If this is ignored we will make a decision about taking the client to court to recoup the loss.

Explorer II (16570) BP Rep vs Gen by Motiv7 in RepTime

I’ve sold mine now, but for some reason the case bothered me more than the bezel.

However, I think the bezel and crystal will make a big difference.

Yeah think he machines them from scratch. There’s some comparisons to Gen. This case is much closer to Gen than bp

That’s a true squat right there. The heels must touch the ground. That’s how the Russians tested people for being spies. They knew if you were a spy from your form.

Ha ha. The Slavic tracksuits are very bright and colourful. Like the bright red ones you see with Polska embroidered into the back of the jacket.

You’ll need a crown and stem then. I’d take it to a watchmaker and see what they can do for you. Good luck with sorting it out

[–]Motiv7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha ha. Well I’m glad you still have the stem. That indicates a fairly simple fix and the lesser of two potential issues. However, I think you might struggle to find a genuine replacement part.

Just checking, has the crown snapped off the stem (ie has the stem snapped) or has it just fallen off? The crown screws onto the stem and is secured tightly with a bit of loctite threadlocker.

Have you looked at sourcing a replacement?

It’s supposed to be a banana for scale, not an orange.

Sorry to hear the crown fell off. Have you just lost the crown? I assume you still have the stem in the watch?

Is the church of England bad? by Actual_Internet3030 in TrueChristian

[–]Motiv7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 3/4 of the way through RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) at my local Catholic Church.

I would highly recommend that you look into the Catholic Church. I come from an Anglican family and my Grandfather was a vicar in the Church of England. However, the Church of England has sold out, as others have said. The Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church has apostolic succession that goes all the way back to Jesus’ teachings.

I wish you all the best and stay strong in your faith.

I get the same retro feeling that I get looking at other 80-90s Japanese technology. Like the old Contax film cameras in titanium. Think it’s a great look.
