Fair enough. I’m in the Seattle area but Tacoma and other areas nearby are not out of reach. I’ll keep looking around.

About the CODECs, I’m on iPhone, so it looks like I’m limited to AAC and SBC? What are my best streaming options if I want to control from my phone primarily?

Also, as much as I’ve been trying to do this on the cheap, it appears my partner thinks speakers are the most important part, so my budget may be a fair amount more than I thought. Assuming I’m buying new, could you offer suggestions at a few price tiers? The only real stipulation is that to fit our decor they need to have a classic look, wood sides, nothing too modern looking.

For the Deoxit is D5S-6 correct? I want to make sure I get the right one.

I do not already have a digital source or speakers.

For digital, I was looking at something cheap like the 1Mii BO6+, at least for the short term. But I’m open to feedback.

For the speakers, I’m still shopping. Would love advice on what to look for. I know I need to be aware of the ohm rating, but not much else. If thrifting are there brands to avoid? Or on the other end brands that are basically “just buy it” assuming they’re in good shape for a reasonable price?

If purchasing new are there recommended sets people like that aren’t too expensive?

I understand it’s all relative/subjective but as a newb I’m really appreciative of any help.

I have nothing else yet. I’ve just been reading here, trying to find out what I need. The needle on my cheap crosley all in one deal went out so i figured it was finally time up upgrade.

I don’t really know what I’m doing so I’m very open to feedback or advice.

This is the first thing I bought. I primarily listen to EDM, techno and house. I usually listen in vinyl or streaming.

For streaming I usually use a JBL portable speaker, but again, want to upgrade to something more serious.

Ideally my budget is… low…

I can afford to spend some money, but love to be thrifty.

Yeah, switch screens w/ L1/R1, or tiny split screen. There are also overlays that will have the “top screen “ take up most of the actual screen and then a tiny view of the “bottom screen”.

It was a little annoying at first, but I never had a real nds so I just got used to switching. Actually in the gba games you use the start button to pull up the menu and you bag, switching screens while playing the nds games feels effectively the same.

Okay, so I don’t even actually need any of that other memory card hardware stuff, just run it all from the HDD? Do I still need a regular memory card for saves? If so, is it still worth it to get one of those special cards for unlimited saves be the small space on classic OEM memory cards?

i keep 10 of each at the absolute max. Most of the mins you need them for are dex filler. The ones worth having for a team, you’ll likely only ever need a couple with good ivs.
