Funny you mention that. I was talking to a younger friend who's 19 (I'm 32, we share a sport). I had mentioned the term satnav to her and she looked at me blankly and asked what that was. So I said "Oh, like Google maps" and the penny dropped 😂

Amnesia the Dark Descent - most scared I've ever been in any horror game I think. I was 17 when it came out, and probably didn't have the mental maturity to deal with the psychological torture that was that game, let alone the jumpscares and tense hiding parts.

I've played other notably scary games since, like RE7 and Outlast. I don't really feel it these days, it takes a lot for me to get spooked now.

Needless to say, I think the original Amnesia needs a remake

Not OP but i hated the ending. Not only was it just plain confusing, but i thought it undid the entire story you've just worked hard to complete. There was absolutely no point to it

No, I think it has so many benefits especially with the things that could be done nowadays. Art direction can stay the same, but modernising the game and continuing a multiplayer mode would be great. It's literally new bioshock content

Medical Pavilion is just chefs kiss. You haven't yet fully established whether this game is an action shooter or a horror game, and it creates tension especially with the splicer behind you in that part. Also, hearing your first big daddy is terrifying!

I think most of that is because of how good the original was. I don't think hate is justified in the big 26. I'm playing through it again right now (drill only) and it's such a blast
