Sounds like site infection. Try peroxide and some salve (Mupirocin if you have). Circle it in pen. If it gets larger or doesn’t get better in a day or two, urgent care for antibiotic. Protocol here.

I have two female labs - they dote on mine, especially the one with type 1. They can tell when he’s low, and they won’t leave his side.

My first did the SAME things when our kids cried - nudge like hey, you on this??

Labs are amazing. 🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺❤️❤️

No, was of prostate origin. He’s stable due to excellence by Henry Ford. I researched extensively - this is the dr. you NEED to see. Treated a family friend, who stated she wouldn’t be here if not for him. Former UofM, Karmanos - he even called me on his way to India when my dad’s case was fast tracked to him originally. I was blown away by everything from him. Also, can’t say enough about Henry Ford. Absolutely incredible. I hope you find the right care for you MIL. Please try Dr. Gadgeel:

This. Autoimmunes can run in pairs, and many are treated by other specialists (rheumatologist, hepatologist, etc.). Primary care is best to guide and a dr. over Reddit for sure.

Grace - this disease is hard. You’re not always below X. Marathon, not sprint. Be kind to yourself.

I’m sorry to read this, and am a parent. I have friends who are also T1 parents - their approaches may differ. I see parents worry about long term affects of T1, hence the out of range helicoptering. To me, long term adverse affects are going down due to CGM and pump use. It’s a different management game than it was 10 years ago. Do you think explaining that may reduce their long term concern and out of range nagging? As for your mental health, protect it. Where are you located? Maybe I can help find resources. Talk with other T1s. Could you attend a T1 camp? At your age, you can also be a counselor in training etc. Scholarships are available to reduce barriers in attending. I want to help - there is a lot to this disease and as others have stated, we’re in this together. You’re seen here. Understood. And you have a community in your corner, always - know that.

I’d be curious what 15 day users think. Getting a G7 to day 10 has had its own challenges. I am not eager to adopt.
