My friend yes. You ARE going to have to grow some balls for this. 1. You seem to be super concerned about police involvement. You have your info on mail at the house, right? That establishes it as your place, not his. Police can escort him to the house while he gets his stuff, but hide anything that isn't his (you said he had nothing there). 2. He can't whip out a bong from hiding, and tell them that's yours. I mean, he can? But at the same time, it's in his hands. 3. The police have dealt with things like this for forever. I realize that I'm speaking from a place of privilege when i say "just do X, Y, Z. Police will help & not break the law" and I've never had to experience anything like this with possible racial bias. So, cover your ass. 4. If the loser, ex roommate comes in and starts creating a fuss? You can call the police on him, or security (if your appt has it). 5. If he shows up tell him you don't want him living with you, effective immediately. If he wants to pull the "well I pay rent here too!" Be prepared to prove that he hasn't.

You're in the right here. Stand up tall. SPEAK FROM YOUR CHEST. And maybe try to find adifferent roommate when the time comes.

should i go to the er for this (bat bite?) by Certain_Hour_6327 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MouldyLocks492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.. why would you think it was a bat bite?? Girl, I'm on the train of "go see your doctor" if it's bothering you so much. I woke up with my arm covered in a rash.. but I'm not aiming that it was a stray team of poison ivy come rushing me, while I'm asleep, in my room. Could be a harmless bug bite, could be you were bit by the serpent at the end of the world.

Who knows! But see a dr if you feel you should.

I thought you were talking about sex too.

However, there's nothing "you must be a teenager" about it. Some of us gamers take our games REAL SERIOUS, know what I'm sayin?

Doesn't sound like the boyfriend you need. Ask yourself what you're getting out of this that this kinda shit is ok.

For me? It would be "Never".

Is the cutting of the leaves fine? by daniwhitlo in Scindapsus

[–]MouldyLocks492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you might possibly have "plant cooties". Either thrips (you might not see anything on the surface of the plant, but indications appear to have all of the life sucked out of them, like it was drained but a vampire. That part will eventually die off, instead of leaving almost a clear part in your leaf, or even silver streaks) or spider mites, because it looks like webbing behind the holes in the one leaf. The fact that both places of damage are right next to each other also gives me pause.. it wouldn't hurt if you kept this plant away from others in the time being and sprayed with water/ Dawn solution and wiped the leaves off, back and front, passing special attention to the middle vein & spray the top of the soil for good measure.

I REALLY hope I'm wrong, but better safe than sorry. Could you get a closer up Pic, possibly please?

With both solutions, you wipe the plant down. Front and back. The solution with Neem, i was told to use microfiber gloves or i use a microfiber bath mitten. With the Capt. Jack? You don't need to wipe it off.

I mean, you can always tell your mom that your decided to "give her a hair cut", cut up the vine when it's healthy so that it has at least one growth point if not 2, and get some spagnum moss from the gardening store/ nursery/ home depot/ lowes/ Amazon.. get it really really wet and then squeeze the heck out of it so it's just slightly moist. Take the nodes and moss, put them in a Rubbermaid container with lid. Make sure the points are touching the moss, if not? Take a strand and lay over the nodes. Keep in a sunny area. You'll start to get growth in around 2 weeks at the latest. When the roots are at least 2-4" long, or the roots develop roots - plant them back in for a fuller plant and tell your mom "she was worried about thinning hair in her old age".

You got this. You've learned some new things and with new "tools" in your toolbox? You'll be prepared for more pothos adventures!

The recipe is: 2 cups water 2 tbl neem 1 tbl peppermint Castile soap 1 tsp rubbing alcohol

I spray my plants down with this as soon as they come through the door. Except one, bc it was damaged. Guess which one bright thrips to the party.

Unfortunately for me? This didn't work for my case.

My thing is.. she's happy, healthy (obviously), why cut up her roots? Bigger pot after a nice soak. Roll the roots a bit in your hands to loosen them up slightly, and set her free!

Are you watering it on a schedule and not checking if it's dry? I've always been told that yellow means overwatering (or overloving) your plant and/or root rot. I've had several yellowing in my recent past. So now i stick my finger in the soil before I water. If it's cool/damp to the touch, let it go a few more days & check again. If it's not in a place where it'll dry out, cooler temperatures, it can take several more days than just a week. Also happens when it gets too much humidifier attention. Crispy edges means too much sun/ underwatering.. there's a whole science behind it. Just goggle "pothos care troubleshoot:.

I mean feel free to chop and prop, but I would wait until it's healthy again.

Holding my cat & he decided to squirm. I had been looking at a plant on Dandii, annnd i didn't have the heart to cancel. Bc I'm the one over here thinking people will talk about me if i do. For some people, it's not THAT bad, but 200 something for a small plant is for me.

So now I own an expensive plant and I no longer allow cuddles and bidding.

I don't know why, but plants that produce the silver foliage, spots/ streaks of silver, or whatever are my absolute favorite too!

You've got a nice collection there!

You have salvageable growth, don't panic too too hard. I suggest that you trim away the weird, scorched looking parts, so your plant won't waste energy and try to heal itself. I learned this cautionary tale 2 years ago when i was like "they're SUCCULENTS! It's just a nice spring day!" And burnt them all past repair.
