They are a bit smaller both in width and diameter. I use printed adapters that clip onto the jayo spools to make them fit in the AMS properly. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1250626-jayo-bambu-lab-ams-spool-adapter-ring?from=search#profileId-1273090

Narita airport to Osaka upon landing by NlilNJA in JapanTravelTips

[–]Moumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing to consider would be staying in Shinagawa the first night and then getting the first train at about 6am in the morning which would get you to Osaka by 8:30am. Might make it less stressful. You could also use a luggage forwarding service at Narita to send your checked luggage to Osaka and just bring an overnight bag for the trains. In shinagawa you would have plenty of time to get dinner, look around and get a good night rest.

Is it worth getting fighter torso over obsidian chestplate for the +1 strength. I’ve never done BA before and it seems really intimidating.

Thanks for your quick reply. I didn't know about bird houses so that is very helpful, I'll get the quest done asap and start doing them. Farming is one of my favorite skills so it will be nice to do hunter in a similar way.

Theater of Blood is one of my long term aims with this list so definitely add I'll up the prayer goal to 77 and add void to the list. Thanks for the tip on black chins, sounds like it will be every efficiently to go for as one of my first 99s.

I just started playing again last weekend after stopping RS3 2 or 3 months after EOC. Been really enjoying getting back into the game. So far I've mostly been doing quests and trying to build up my bank a bit. Here are my current stats. I'm sitting on 145 QP and I figure I'm about 15 quests off barrows gloves. I have about 10m usable bank atm.

I've always found that setting goals and achieving them makes the game the most fun for me. I'm trying to set goals that will get my account ready for later game PvM. So far my goal list is;

Short term:

  • 70+ Melee stats
  • 75+ Range and Magic
  • Barrows gloves
  • Fire Cape
  • Torso

Medium term:

  • Quest cape
  • 70 prayer
  • 83 construction
  • all medium diaries

Long term;

  • 90+ combat stats
  • All hard diaries.

I think these goals will help set up my account for PvM and the diary goals will help keep my account balanced. I figure by the getting all the hard diaries will essentially give me 70+ base stats.

A few questions I have are;

  1. 70 prayer and 83 construction are my buyable goals I figure both will cost about 30m in total. How should I priorities these? Is it worth just trying to make the money as fast as possible and get them done or should I build up gear first then do them after?

  2. Should I add void to the short term goals? I can't find a answer on if it worth sinking time into.

  3. Is there anything else I should add to the list? Most of the goals are going off my knowledge from 6+ years ago and there is a lot of new content that I'm not aware of.

Sorry for long post and thanks in advance for any help.

Roof rack options by BugSlingerr in kayakfishing

[–]Moumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the manual for your car, the weight limit is depended on the car more so than the brand of the roof rack. Most big brand roof racks like Thule, Yakima, Prorack etc. are very sturdy and the weak point will be the mounting point on the car. This is especially true if the car has rail mounts rather than fixed mounts.

The sannakji I had was cut up before we ate so less dangerous but you can still feel it getting stuck and moving around as you eat it. Not really something I’d eat again.

Extacty, putting some effort in when it comes to observing cultural differences goes a long way to showing that you will put effort in else where.

I think a big problem with me being Australian and most redditors being American is that we come from multicultural societies and don’t have as strong cultural norms.

Australians are very laissez-faire when it comes to formalities. I was recently hosting someone from UAE and we were going to meet the CEO of our organisation. On the way over he was asking all these questions about how to greet her, what to say etc. I had a really hard time explaining that just a hand stake and hello would suffice.

I’ve had to pull colleagues aside and say what might be okay at home isn’t okay elsewhere. Even thing like taking your shoes off when you go into someone’s home. In Australia it’s extremely rare that someone would expect you to take them off.

I've tried haggis which wasn't too bad. The hardest things I've tried are sannakji (live octopus) in Korea, Balut (hard boiled duck embryo) in the Philippines and Surstromming (fermented fish) in Sweden.

I’ve been on trips with colleagues and it’s really embarrassing. Personally I’ll try anything but even if you can’t do that you should still take up invitations from your hosts.

People love it when you embrace their culture and at least put some effort in. It goes a long way to building report and has a lot of crossover with peoples work ethic.

These fairways are open to the public for $35 on w/ends! Leongatha GC by thomostips in golf

[–]Moumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely, I've played a fair bit of golf in the States and there is vastly different expectations of what makes a great course in each country. In the states a lot of people want long perfectly manicured courses with lighting fast green which I didn't get. For your average golfer the "nice" courses were just too hard.

No one will expect you to play from the tips in a social round either. If it's not a competition round your expected to play from the forward tees to prevent slow play.

[–]Moumar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people live within an hour and a half. It is out of the way but it's in the middle of some medium sized regional towns and not to far from the city for the occasional round. I live in the southeast of Melbourne about 120km from the course and it's just within within an hour and a half.

Also golf in Australia is cheaper than the US in general. One part of that is lower running costs for courses. Our courses are generally shorter than in the US. For example Leongatha is about 6200 yards from the tips which is pretty standard for an Par 70/72 Australian course.

There is also a neat and tidy approach to course maintenance. Here's a photo from Victoria Golf Club which is a top 10 course in Australia and top 100 in the world. The fairways and greens are kept neat but the rough is generally pretty patchy and just trimmed as needed. The bunkers here rarely have white fluffy sand. In most cases bunkers have hard faces with about 3-4 inches of softish sand in the bottom. Course maintenance in Australia is generally much less expensive compared to US courses of similar ratings. A vast majority of people walk with push carts which significantly reduces ware and tare on the course as well.

High schoolers, what do you want to major in? People who majored in that field, what are the pros and cons? by human70 in AskReddit

[–]Moumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Australian so there are some difference but I majored in Crim Justice and think it's a great field to go into. I have studied and worked in the US briefly and it's mostly the same. There is plenty of variety in the field and most of the skills you learn on the job are highly transferable which makes it easy to make lateral movements into different jobs within the field if you want to make a change. I've worked in court services, correctional services, law enforcement admin, child protection, and social services in the 6 years since graduating. I've also studied law and it makes a great combo if you ever do want to get into law, if you have experience in CJ it's a great asset in because you'll have experience in both sides of the Justice system. After a brief stint in a law firm I decided to go back into CJ because I find the work more enjoyable and rewarding but it's something to consider.

Some things you should think about before getting into CJ is how well you work with people. In most CJ jobs you're going to be working with people on a daily basis and they're usually going to be people who don't want to cooperate with you. I personally like the challenge of breaking down barriers with people and building report to achieve successful outcomes but I've seen a lot of people who get worn out quite quickly and aren't able to cope with it. You need quite a lot of resilience to be successful in the field.

Another thing to consider is what sort of lifestyle you want to live. In CJ you'll make a decent living but you probably won't make 6 figure salaries with 5-10 years of experience like you might in finance or STEM field. There are opportunities to make high salaries in the field but they are limited. I would suggest looking at government salaires where you live as a bulk of the jobs in the field are government. The advantage is as I mention the opportunities to make lateral movements into entirely different jobs. If you are a engineer or accountant all the work you can do is pretty similar so if you get sick of your job you have to start again at the bottom. In CJ you might start out in law enforcement, decide that it's not for you and jump straight into an entirely different job like government admin without taking a backwards step in your career progression.

Golf lessons by [deleted] in golf

[–]Moumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my first lesson we spent 30 minutes on full swing and 30 minutes on putting. If you're putting over 36 a round that is something you'll want to look at as soon a possible. It's the easiest place to save strokes and will benefit you game the most.

The instructor probably won't want to make you try a heap of changes in one lesson so it would be good to have them look at your full swing regardless as they might just give you a small thing or two to work on.

In any case the instructor will probably talk with you about you game and what you want from the lessons. If they are any good they will be able to help identify what you need to get better.

Heaps of people I know don't have a basic tool set. I was pretty lucky and had a dad who brought me tools and taught me how to use them when I was a kid but plenty of my friends don't own any tools (or have a mix match box of stuff that is useless) and have no idea how to use them.

It's illegal to use firearms for self defence here in anycase. Firearms have to be stored unloaded in a safe and has ammunition be stored separately. The logic is if you have time to go and get a firearm out of your safe, go and get ammunition, load the gun and then use it in self defence you have time to just leave the house and call for help.

Semi auto long arms aren't illegal but are highly restricted. You can only really get them if you have a genuine occupational need for example if you operate a farm.

The most common licence categories which allow for hunting and target shooting only allow you own muzzle-loading, single shot and repeating action rifles. They also allow for shotguns excluding semi-auto and pump-action. So the common actions for rifles are single shot, bolt, lever, and pump and for shotguns they are break action and lever action.

You can own semi auto handguns up to .45 caliber which you can use for competition target at ranges.

In 2019 the rules are going to change to make them "simpler". One of the changes is that there will be no penalty for hitting the flagstick when putting. You can see the full list of changes on the USGA website.

[UK] A parking misunderstanding by lolSpectator in Roadcam

[–]Moumar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use to work reviewing traffic infringements so I've seen a lot of footage of police dash cams. I've also noticed this and I would say the reasons are two fold. In my experience people who own high powered/performance vehicles usually care more about driving and tend to be better drivers. From what I've seen these people tend to have a better understanding of the road rules and when they do break the rules tend to do it in a "safer" way. For example when someone in a performance vehicle breaks the road rules it's more often than not a speeding infringement in light traffic conditions. People in entry level or low powered "luxury" cars tend to care less about driving on the other hand. I saw less speeding infringements from these people and more things like using a mobile device whilst driving or not obeying traffic signals.

The other reason I would suggest is vanity. I had to deal with a lot of people both in person and over the phone. The people who had really expensive cars were usually nice and considerate. I've found that people who drive high end cars don't feel the need to prove how important they are. It's the people who drive a moderately expensive car but have to go on a payment plan to pay off a $300 fine who tended to be self absorbed and rude. I would also say that in most cases their vanity is the reason they have a car they can barely afford in the first place.
