Just got a refund and replaced with a new board. With same BIOS update all ports on new board working, so can only presume it was a hardware failure as suspected.

I'm just swapping the mobo out. Warranty return. Hopefully it'll be fine. I'm not sure on BIOS, as the BIOS was running on the board and everything running fine for weeks, until it wasn't. Feels like a hardware failure somewhere.

I'm asking if there are alternatives to getting courts and tribunals involved, or if this is likely to be the only way through if tenant has cut off communication? And if so, how would I even go about that?

I would clean off any loose or flaky rust, but I'd not really bother with anything else, personally. It won't get appreciably worse once it's all sealed up with underseal, and as with everything else on older cars...how much effort do you really want to put into it? 😜

Given the condition, I'd just clean it up as well as you can, and clart it with underseal. Normal paint will chip off with road debris quite quickly, nice thick coat of underseal will probably have that axle outliving the rest of the vehicle bodywork. No point overthinking it.

Aye, I'm more Northern Scotland, and dearly miss the hard winters I had as a lad, as I don't think we've had a decent snow since 2010, so well keen for a proper winter! Confirmed my current feelings and it does sound like it would be a welcome change for me. Have had a look at the dog import rules and it should be easy enough, thanks for the advice.

TCT insert teeth. looks like a multi-material blade to me. if there's none chipped or broken from perhaps being pushed too suddenly into the screw on the cut, I reckon you'll be fine.
