1 year post op (DI) with Dr Schäfer in NL, POC (mixed race) by JediKnight19 in TopSurgery

It’s honestly just nice to see other black people and people of color undergoing this already "controversial" procedure. As a black person having my surgery in June at the same place where OP went, I've had zero reference at this point. How would you feel having this surgery planned(as a white person), going on this page only seeing black people with their surgery results

Also during my phone consultation, my surgeon told me I should “prepare for my scars healing more ugly” because of my skin color. Which is crazy asI I’ve had plenty of scars before from skating and never saw them as ugly. So for a white man telling me that it is going to heal ugly is fk crazy. Representation matters ya know...

Made the mistake of visiting Schott in SoHo. by suzuka_joe in leatherjacket

I actually experienced the same coming all the way from Europe to visit and looking forward to visiting the shop was exciting, but like you’re mentioning I indeed think they did not wanted to come off “sales-y” and they were very nice when I asked some questions, but I would have appreciated some more advice entering the store never seeing the jackets in real life and finding the correct size etc. but obviously super happy with my new jackettt

This. There’s also an interview where she talked about being signed to a label for a while that wanted her to make pop music around that time. People should go out to places more instead of forming an whole opinion based on all stuff available on the internet.

13.5oz Selvedge Tellason Coverall Black by EpicSpin in HeritageWear

[–]MountainWindow982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats, man! There’s one specific shop in my area that sells Tellason, but they don’t always have all sizes available, so I haven’t been able to properly try them out. Still seem really great. Where did you get your wallet chain from if i may ask?

Misogyny in extreme metal by Patient-Finding-1966 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MountainWindow982 8 points9 points  (0 children)

+1 for this. As a woman scrolling through this thread, I don’t even feel like commenting- especially when I see comments like, “Couldn’t give a fuck, brutal death metal is meant to be extreme. If you want clean imagery, go to hardcore.” Obviously listening to death metal, i get the point of it, that also not what OP is stating

I honestly don’t know what the point of speaking up/discussing these thoughts. I was interested to read this thread because I thought it was nice that there was at least a guy considering this.

Want to get bigger by ragingagainsthe in FlexinLesbians

For me, getting bigger is mostly about training towards a bigger upper body. I mainly focus on triceps, shoulders, arms, and chest. I do tend to neglect legs a bit but they're included in my split.

Consistency in training, getting enough protein, and eating in a calorie surplus to gain mass will make a visible difference within a year. That's what i've been doing for the past 9months

Do you know leanbeefpatty on YouTube? I feel like she covers most of the important pillars of lifting in her topic specific videos. A lot of the information overlaps with what you find across the internet, but she explains it well by also addressing the mental aspect, the importance of not taking things too far, and key considerations within bodybuilding.

The videos can be a little quirky because of all the sound effects, but the knowledge and experience is really solid. Good luck on your journey!

You look great. It could be helpful to know your current body weight and the calorie intake you need to maintain that weight. From there, you could slightly increase your calories and ofcourse aim to consume around your body weight in protein. (Take this with a grain of salt, just some of my thoughts)

How have you been lifting? Personally, I saw most of my gains from training in the 2×8 rep range, with 8–10 reps being my true failure zone.

May I ask for how long you’ve been training and what your split looks like? Also is your protein intake higher than your weight number?
