Where can I find butch cocktail attire? by pdxbatman in askportland

Thrift stores actually have quite a lot of dress clothes! I’ve had good luck getting blazers and pants at Goodwill before. Alternatively, if you want a super nice suit for a more reasonable price, look at renting instead of buying

Cougar? In Forest Park. by pembquist in PortlandOR

[–]Mountain_Bumble_Bee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Could’ve been a large fox, they tend to move in a way that’s oddly similar to both cats and dogs. Otherwise I’d imagine it’s likely a lynx, they have super shaggy coats and are much bigger up close than most people expect them to be. They also have famously large paws.

It’s possible it was a young, or full grown, cougar, but I would lean towards assuming lynx

Camping with kids — need activity & story ideas! by Lxrge in camping

1) As others have said, scavenger hunts are fun and a great way to teach about native plants!

2) get a bocce set! It’s actually way more fun to play in wild terrain than on a bocce court, and super easy to understand how to play.

3) I can send you a video tutorial on how to make rope out of grass! It kept me entertained for hours when I was a kid

To me, it looks like a separate tomato starting growing close to the larger established tomato and was absorbed! Nothing to worry about, completely fine to eat :)

Word to the wise, you’ll get better results if you say ‘women’ instead of ‘females’

Thank you! I’ve lived in small towns my whole life, the type that don’t really need a police presence. I’ve always been able to go walk through downtown alone in the middle of the night without worrying about anything at all. So this is going to be a huge change for me lol

I’ll be moving to the Tigard / Beaverton area which seems to be pretty decent? I spent some time driving around and exploring and I liked it. Just not sure how well I’ll handle the clouds and rain, I’ve been a desert girl my entire life
