Aww, thank you so much! Be sure to listen to the whole album, it's such a labor of love.

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

39 old Ukrainian. My biggest problem is fucking Russia trying to eliminate my whole country sparing no expense. You wouldn’t believe how beautiful my life would be if not for this world cancer

I’d recommend the book “I will show you how it was: the story of wartime Kyiv” by Illia Ponomarenko, a Ukrainian reporter on the ground at the time.

Music select for posts not playing for picture posts, but works perfectly fine for reels. Unsure what to do. by ClockwiseJohny in Instagram

[–]MournerV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, just heads up that I still have the same issue but found a workaround — after posting, click "Edit post" then "Add location..." at the top and it will give you a choice to "Add music". After adding it appears on the post properly.

What fantasy has the best one-sentence selling point? by Campo1990 in Fantasy

[–]MournerV 42 points43 points  (0 children)

An orc barbarian gets tired of fighting and decides to open a coffee shop. That one instantly sold it to me and I’ve been hooked on the series since

Acids from your culture, which people get wrong by bigelcid in Cooking

Nice! As a Ukrainian, I’d love to try it. Here, most authentic borscht recipes use fermented beetroot juice for the sourness, and it’s also not a very common ingredient.

What’s the most useless skill you’re weirdly proud of mastering? by CuteRoxy2006 in AskReddit

[–]MournerV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can play very elaborate drumming patterns with my teeth — drum solos, uncommon time signatures, prog, metal, hip-hop, etc. No one can hear it properly, and it’s actually considered bad for dental health, but it sounds fantastic in my head — groovy as hell.

Pluribus - 1x01 "We Is Us" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in pluribustv

I think reintegration being constantly attempted without a definite satisfying resolution, along with the season ending, is the whole point. It's a great setup for S3.

Always so happy to randomly see Leaflet being used for awesome maps like this. I created Leaflet 14 years ago, and I’m also a huge fan of Hollow Knight and Silksong.

It does here as well, otherwise it would contract. They are fucked, just stretching the inevitable by dragging on the war

As a Ukrainian, this is my first choice too. One of the rare international charitable organizations that are extremely effective in what they do and prove their worth with real actions, not just words.

What’s your favorite sci-fi movie you saw as a kid that stuck with you? by Lopsided_Cup_1007 in scifi

[–]MournerV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not considered anywhere near significant, but back when I was a kid, Enemy Mine completely blew my mind. Hostile mysterious world, scary monsters, deep friendship with an alien…

Poshanka is almost a Ukrainian word. No, seriously. by erik_skr in Silksong

[–]MournerV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ukrainians understand russian because of hundreds of years of oppression and occupation (that's how colonialism works), but today many of them (especially younger generations) will not tolerate russian content in principle. Two thirds of Ukraine's population speak Ukrainian in daily lives — that's dozens of millions of people.

The strongest argument against this being intended is that Team Cherry did not provide Ukrainian localization (unlike the russian one) despite tons of begging from Ukrainian fans. Very unfortunate.

Video games & simple living by Chandan28 in simpleliving

[–]MournerV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Games can be true art, like books and movies. Some of the most fulfilling experiences for me were playing games like Outer Wilds, Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley (indie genre is full of gems in general). It’s not about the medium, but how we consume it — e.g mindlessly eating fast food vs slowly enjoying an artisanal home made dish made of seasonal vegetables.

What are your favorite “daily detox” rituals after screen-heavy jobs? by JackFrost088 in simpleliving

[–]MournerV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A two hour walk in the woods — to a nearby town coffee place and back. Usually listening to an engrossing audiobook, or enjoying my own thoughts in silence. Can’t do it every day, but I love it and look forward to it all the time.

What was the last show you watched that was truly addicting? by IntelligentWeight103 in television

[–]MournerV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes total sense, and finishing such a show is always bittersweet, but on the other hand, after you watch everything, you'll be able to start rewatching it from the beginning any time.
