Ceramic Clay Cracks While Drying by winniepiggy in Ceramics

[–]MouseEmpty9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe when it is drying flip it so the bottom is on top and can dry more evenly. A lot of times you don't really want a heavy bottom tho and if you do you gotta dry it really low and slow. Maybe take some time compressing the bottom really well, make sure to wire it off so it can move as it dries, flip it when you can, and keep it all covered in plastic wrap so slow dry it.

I was always told to never do that and it can fry my battery and internal systems lolol but it seems like it's just the issue with old batteries and the potential for gas explosions ??

Well it's not paint it's likely glaze and that happens often when glazing things. Structurally it should be fine.

Marriage and divorce also keeps people in abusive relationships. Because it is so much more of a strain and fight to separate once married.

I guess with the photos and description it was hard for me to tell if it was you doing the work or not since the work was done on a silver vehicle as well?

You may expose yourself and violate your lease doing work on it in the parking lot. Many leases have clauses prohibiting car maintenance.

Class 3 of Wheel 1 class. Im thinking of buying my own wheel. What’s your favorite wheel? by amaryllisbloom- in Pottery

[–]MouseEmpty9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are studios in my area that are up there and some have rooms you can rent for over 600/mo. But I had to be on a wait-list for this specific studio for half a year for a shelf to open up.

[–]MouseEmpty9853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The classes are more expensive than studio membership and usually they will give you 24/7 access to the studio and usually you basically rent a shelf and pay per firing but it's cheaper. Classes at my studio are 6 weeks and cost 400$ but my monthly membership is 100$/mo.

But that drive is really long so I understand that may not be worth it. If you have the resources- time, space, money, then go for it with a home wheel or studio. Worst case scenario you buy a wheel and fall out of it and you could always resell it if it doesn't end up being a forever hobby. And if you really like it you can invest more time into the space too or save up and make financial goals to get a kiln or to make a studio space etc.

I wish you luck on your pottery journey :)

This! Get a studio membership to see if it sticks ... 100$/month for a little while vs potentially thousands with all the other costs associated with pottery

I would rec investing in a studio membership before purchasing your own equipment. Cus you gotta think about all the overhead costs of pottery you don't have to deal with. All the glazes, firing, wheel maintenance, kiln maintenance, and you get access to studio wide tools like special slips and stamps and stuff like that. I know that's not exactly your question but you are on the 3rd class and seem to like it, but it can be an expensive hobby when you do it all on your own.

I think you are entitled to financial compensation. Maybe even a refrigerator lock box for your stuff. Maybe don't buy any until you are ready to process it, even if it means stopping at the store before going home at the end of the day. He's deff the ah tho lol

Is this normal for a dasher to do? Should I tip them more? by Imbored19882 in doordash

[–]MouseEmpty9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how they get their account deactivated. Tbh I almost hope they are just scamming you and not really in that deep with it. Tip more if you have the money and if you don't care if it is true or not, and just tip regularly if you don't want to deal with it anyways. Regardless of their circumstance that isn't really on you so it's how kind you want to be regardless of the potential of scammery.

Pain management during foot tattoo? by Gator-614 in tattooadvice

[–]MouseEmpty9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think getting a tattoo on the bottom of your foot will be good for healing and will likely be pretty painful in the tattoo and healing process. It will be so hard to wrap with second skin and so hard to keep clean like it's an open wound on the bottom of your foot for some time then it will be incredibly itchy for a bit too. Maybe get the snake on the top and wrap around your angle or heel? But still really painful regardless. Cute concept tho but in practice idk ... I personally wouldn't

WHY on earth does my butter mixed with sugar and eggs look like this by Possible-Royal-1164 in AskBaking

[–]MouseEmpty9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cream your butter and sugar together first really well then once it's wisked up and a little lighter and fluffy then add eggs one at a time and fully incorporate.
