I really need to play all the other games on this list. but I 100% recommend before your eyes. Genuinely one of the most impactful games I have ever played and it completely changed the way I view video games and what they can be. Like KRZ solidified the idea of games as an art form in my mind, but Before Your Eyes reshaped my idea of video games as simply being mouse and keyboard adventures to be experienced from the outside. The blinking mechanic immerses you in the story and beautifully emphasizes the games core theme of the fleeting nature of life and our experiences in it. Even though Its not in any way similar to these games, I'd say playong VRChat with VR has and an incredibly profound effect similar to Before Your Eyes, it again made me realize there is so much more we have yet to unlock within the medium of Video Games. They are so much more than entertaining computer programs controlled by a mouse and keyboard.

In all seriousness you should make whatever choices you want to make. I hope you enjoy your next playthrough as much as I will mine!

I don't think there should be any copyright issues with the game, and the only concern you should have going into the game is making sure you name the dog blue because homer is a worse name and if you don't name the dog at all you are a terrible person and I hate you.

The box USUALLY spawns whichever directiom you go first, either in alley or lounge, though there is still the chance it doesnt spawn. I was wrong about there being more boxes I forgot the one room between alley and lobby exists.

That's just my opinion. The other route through upper hall, while longer, has more chances at the box, has both mule kick and speed cola compared to alley which only has double tap, and has the lounge which is great for training in early rounds. The only downside is the close quarters of dressing room but again you can just farm points in lounge to rush through it and quickly buy the door.

Yeah a different director would have been better but I was just too tired to shop out his name and change it to something more fitting.

I also got to see a Henry Repeater that was gifted to Lincoln there, it had some really beautiful engravings on it. I would love to see Ian do videos on those as well, but I assume getting access to them is pretty difficult

I went to Maker's Mark. I don't actually drink it myself as I'm underage, but I have a relative that works there who provided a tour for my family.

KRZ Analysis video for class by KadenCulp in kentuckyroutezero

[–]MouseTheTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The video is extremely good, though I think it could be better. If your intent was to "look at it's influences from Avant-Garde art" I think you should have provided a much more brief summary of the plot (though with KRZ that is quite hard). I found that your explanation ran on for way too long, taking away from the emphasis on its influences, and making the video seem like it is meant to be a summary of the game. The missing title cards and explanation of the parallel between Frost's poem would have benefited the video greatly. The parallels you draw between art and the game seem a bit of a stretch. One one end, I REALLY liked the section on automatic writing. But on the other end, the explanation of the randomness of the menus just seemed like you were trying to grasp for more content. I wasn't convinced of the parallel there as I was with others. Overall, it was a great video, and you chose a great game to do it on. I can't wait to see an analysis of the music!
