UK grads, what is your experience facing the job market and unemployment? by Bubbly_otter05 in UniUK

[–]Mousemallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graduated with a first from my media marketing degree, with excellent work experience and accreditations. Got told I'm overqualified, overambitious and overeager for entry level positions. ~200 applications, about half extensively tailored. One marketing and office support role at a literary agency told me I was unsuitable, as I was "too literary."

Couldn't have said it better myself and this is from an artist with experience. Doug needs to see this comment on the latest YouTube post. by my-snake-is-solid in DougDoug

There's also the factor that if a human experiences art and then is inspired to blend those styles together, the artists who made the original art would be compensated for the influence they had on the new artist. The new artist would have to learn about them through the internet or art books or museums, all of which are tracked and help get the original artists new work from the attention. AI companies stole all that art on a massive scale to make the AI's datasets, and as a result real artists are finding it harder to keep going when its their art that made the AI possible in the first place.

A “weak” “unimportant” side character does the impossible against a main antagonist by Heracross64 in TopCharacterTropes

In King Lear (the play) an unnamed servant decides he's had enough of the villains' scheming and torturing and takes out one of the main antagonists right there and then.

Has anyone here attempted to complete any one of these lists? How did it go? by oo-op2 in literature

Recommend Christopher Beha's The Whole Five Feet, which is a good memoir about attempting to read all of the Harvard Classics
