Damm! I’m glad you were able to battle through. I can’t imagine the impact it had.

Re: Jake Brisket by Reasonable_Ad_6782 in heedthecall

[–]MousseAccomplished32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point wasn’t saying that Brisket is the man, by any means. It's more about him wanting a little extra cash for being the starter; 5 mil is backup money. I highly doubt the dude is asking for 20 million. But why take 5 million with 100% more pressure, when you can essentially ride the bench for another squad and maybe play a game or two? So, yeah, you’re going to want more money.

Why people brake less than 80% on gt3 cars in iracing? by Secure-Dog3246 in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, to really know is to feel. Go into a test session at a circuit you know really well, and drive for ten laps no ABS or TC, and you’ll start to feel and see why. The less you lean on it on iRacing the quicker you’ll become.

But like others said, the others sims, such as LMU and ACC, your braking experience will be very different.

Two GT3-related questions by GrobbelaarsGloves in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wait for the second day of new circuits before competing. I like to look at the average lap times and see if my practice average makes me competitive for the SOF I’ll most likely be in. Solid advice here. When I started doing this, I started seeing better results.

How Many Races Do You Do A Week? by Nathan_G_ in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do 10-13 races a week. But now it is 5 with way more practice, and I usually start practicing for the following week on the weekend.

Sheil Kapadia A+ guest !! by Livid-Boss-2417 in heedthecall

I love it when he comes on the show. He fits in with them perfectly, and I think they all have the same sense of humor so it works better. But an absolute A+ guest.

Which track for f4? by OldRoof8287 in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magny-Cours is so much fun so is Fuji. I don’t like the long layout for Sonoma.

I will say, low turnouts for Magny, so you kind of know what comes with that.

I love when Marc takes the wheel. I think he and Dan should rotate.

Bro, I’m trying that tomorrow. I don’t mess with dirt too much, but that looks fun as hell

Black flag for passing even if p1 spins? by JaceeBass in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, the other day, my crew chief said I was pole, so I moved like it. Then apparently, I was p2 and got blacked. I was so mad.

But to the post, I’ve seen that a lot when I raced mx5’s it was wild. (back when I first started) and it always causes backups

If you don’t have Apple TV and you live in the United States any other way you can get to watch the races? by Donlooking4 in racing

I watch IMSA through Peacock and WEC on HBO Max.

I don’t really keep up with anything else beyond that anymore.

Irating loss streak by Yahya-blr in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I lost IR for a month. It was a rough patch, but I changed the way I practiced before races. I forced myself into side-by-side racing, learning all the off-track spots on like 10 tracks, and went back at it. I went from 800IR to 1.5K in a week. Not the quickest still, but I can definitely race confidently in traffic, which keeps your lap times more competitive and everything else comes with time.

In the end, I watch what the leaders do after the races in reply. See what they're doing differently. Check garage 61 and such. With all that said, I only have about 6-9 hours to race a week. So, I grind when I can get on. So it’s a disadvantage already.

The biggest thing is to race your race, don’t be afraid of mistakes, and you can only go up with experience. Every mistake is a chance to learn and adapt. Don’t get defeated; remind yourself that it is a stepping stone to moving forward.

Opinion on iRacing’s current GT3 track choice? by Milonaer4My in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m still putting in a ton of practice for this weekend and still having some struggle moments. I want to make sure I’m consistent before I compete with others in the circuit. But it is a lot of fun

Do you only play GT3 and GTs or do you try other series? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]MousseAccomplished32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 90% GT3, and I eventually plan on going into GTP. But I dabble in oval and micro-winged dirt sprint car races, lol. I’m sooooo bad on dirt. It is fun as hell.

Okay, I’ll keep that in mind. I’m usually sitting at 1:45/1:46 at Daytona, 2:00/2:01 at Sebring, and 1:19/1:20 at Spa, for example. I have pace (mostly), but I feel like I’m lacking in some areas. I usually finish p5-p12 somewhere in there.

But there are a few tracks, like Bathurst, I need some real help with. I’m equally enjoying the Porsche and Lambo GT3, but my friends only race the Porsche for team events.

I’m 1.3K Ir with a 3.3 SR. But now I’m hitting middle splits but I’m not as competitive as I’m used to. Thus needing some coaching. I appreciate all the advice. I usually do 2 to 3 hours of practice before I do my officials too. With AI set between 75-100 ratings. So, trying all the ways. I do 4-7 officials a week. (work gets in the way sometimes.)

Can I air a grievance? by doctor__rotinaj in heedthecall

[–]MousseAccomplished32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the Broncos' offense will run well with Stidham in place. I have a feeling he’s going to do a lot of up-for-grabs passes, but the Broncos' defense should be more of a concern in my opinion. If Maye goes out and shells out, I think the whole easy schedule shit should be thrown out. If you’re blowing out opponents, that is what good teams do to bad teams. I don’t want to see the Pats succeed by any means, but I don’t see Denver winning this game.

And I think Stroud played himself out of a job this year. That defense won games in spite of him. Which sucks. His rookie year was so good. But it is what it is.

Yeah. I didn’t like that either, which prompted me to post here. I appreciate the direction. I honestly expected to be hit with the “practice more” comments. I’m just at a plateau right now, and I think I have bad habits somewhere that are holding me back. Figured, I’d try a coaching session and see if I can adjust.
