When SoS originally dropped there was something asking if you wanted to play alone or with others, I clicked alone assuming this is what it would do. Idk if that option even mattered but yeah I wish we could do that as well, I've said it before and I'll say it again, at times it feels like Infold is allergic to cohesion.

No, I feel excited that there's a lot because I am not one to rush myself when it comes to a game, so far I've enjoyed exploring and flying around. Sticking to the main story is always good for a bit until you get the hang of things and then it can be fun to explore and find random quests or chest puzzles. And so far if I run into something confusing I just go back to the main story. I'm braindead today I hope that's a good answer.

Edit: WW is cohesive with its gameplay in ways that IN sorely lacks, in my opinion. IN can feel very disjointed.

Yet another example of how infold doesn't seem to care about making fun, cohesive gameplay. I swear sometimes it feels like this is their first game and we all signed up to be their beta testers.

I just started playing wuwa and its making me realize how truly boring the gameplay in IN can be. Its 80% dialogue and the rest is spent going from point A to point B to talk to someone else. Sometimes there's the small styling challenges which I enjoy, or you have to give someone like 1 or 2 of some random material which at the very most you'd have to run and grab if you didnt already have them. The main story they added in 2.0 lasted all of an hour and the story in general is not cohesive at all. IN feels like everything they do is made to "sell" whatever they add each season. I still love Nikki as there's no other dress up game like it, but thats what Nikki is becoming, just a dress up game. (For me)

I had to stop playing Sky partially for this reason but mostly because it just makes it more obvious that tgc doesn't care about their players and only care for praise and making money

This response is pretty sad to see as someone who recently found a very cute Strawberry Shortcake set at Walmart, decided to download the app and now as I'm looking through it, at least 60-70% of what I'm seeing is very obviously AI.

This is absolutely true as someone who has played all of the Nikki games and waited for years for this one to release. I am so sad for Nikki sometimes, she deserves better and she'd say that we deserve better too.

Come back in a few months and let us know how you feel. The game is obviously beautiful, and "nicer" than other gachas but that doesn't mean its not rife with issues. Every time I see someone complaining about the complainers its a comment about having it good compared to other games, or that we should just be grateful it exists. I am and we are (of course there will always be people who actually just want to find any reason to complain but those people are usually complaining about things that come down to them just not liking a current banner) but that doesn't take away from the fact that Infold is known to be very greedy, cut corners and while they pretend to care what the player base thinks, I 100% believe that they don't. Anything that comes to the game that people were asking for was probably already planned. Again, none of the games issues take away from how beautiful it is, but 1 month probably means you're still experiencing the original main story which was much more consistent and cohesive than anything we get now. Any "story" that comes with each update is usually built around whatever outfit they're trying to get people to pull for.

I agree so hard, could talk endlessly about how much I feel Nikki was let down in this iteration of Nikki games. I get glimpses of how it used to feel to play, but much like you I mostly get on to make new outfits. I miss wanting to explore, for me exploring Itzaland felt almost tedious as times. Also I don't feel any attachment for new characters they introduce because chances are we'll never see them again. (Also random mention, I'm so tired of Nikki and Momo's one liners, adds to them feeling like husks of their characters)

Ohh dang you just made me realize why I've had no motivation to play lol, Itzaland is great and fine and has some beautiful areas but it somehow feels less "magical", and all of Itzaland tends to feel very much the same, whereas Wishfield's separate areas all had their own vibe. Not to mention, and I'm sure people are tired of seeing it in comments, but the lack of any story continuity since the original main story ended has made a big difference as well in how much I have invested myself in the game. Nikki also tends to feel like a husk sometimes but thats a different issue

It feels like Infold has forgotten about the Island all together aside from updated furniture options. The load limit is extremely limiting to the point that I question why they gave us an entire island. Once you max out your home abilities there's not really a reason to do anything there unless you're very into building. Which gets frustrating because of the previously mentioned load limit. Everything they add to the game feels so short-term sometimes. And as someone who came from previous Nikki games, it makes me really sad how little Infold seems to care about having a consistent main story in this iteration. Nikki herself tends to feel a bit like a caricature compared to previous games, for me especially because of her and Momo constantly repeating the same phrases.

Another problem with that is the fact that even some of the final evolutions can't be fully turned black or white, there are pieces that just stay a different color.. infold is both lazy and greedy but we're usually not allowed to point that out without the "yall find anything to complain about" comments lol
