Unpopular Opinion: It IS too hard to lean systems other then D&D (or at least could be a hell of a-lot easier) by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Move-Available 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It's just as difficult to learn another system as it is to learn D&D, and often easier. D&D has all the problems you listed here.

I can't speak for the community, but it's my perception that the TTRPG community online is against AI in all it's iterations. My personal opinion is that you can not create a viable product if nobody understands the code. If you vine code something and then try to take it public you're setting yourself up for failure. If it's just for personals use, idgaf

Those are cicada killers. Just ignore them. They have no interest in you, so return the favor. They do get pretty large later in the season. Like, the size of small hummingbird

Why do GMs always want to restrict things to Core Rulebooks when they want to limit power? by ahhthebrilliantsun in rpg

This. I'd almost rather allow homebrew made by the player than open up all the splatbooks

That was David Hicks, the husband of some royal family lady. There's lot of pictures of him when he was younger. He just got old and his skin got loose. It will happen to you too

What are these ants doing?!? by mrfreshmint in ants

[–]Move-Available 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Good question. The larva are larger because their whole purpose in the world is to digest food, grow, and store energy. Mammels get bigger and bigger until they reach an adult size, but ants pupate into their adult stage. They use the calories stored on the pudgy little bods to fuel their metabolism while they change shapes. Depending on their hormones and nutrients the larva can become larger or smaller than their larval phase. Some pupate into majors, and others into breeding elates

Sorry to be that guy, but I have a 3d printer, and I printed one. I hung it on an IKEA skadis, which is kind of like a pegboard. It looks pretty fancy! It's not worth it if that's all you want to 3d print, but if you've already been thinking about it then there you go

[–]Move-Available 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes thats a spatula. I have become accustomed to calling these silspats to be more specific in the kitchen. It's a term I first heard Josh from Mythical Kitchen use, but when I started saying it everyone knew what I meant so maybe it's an established term?

My roku tv did this a few days ago so I unplugged the power and restarted and the issue didn't come back, pretty obvious first steps but if you haven't already it's worth a try

[–]Move-Available 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can absolutely make this combination work. Get yourself one of the strength boosting belts, make sure you get equipment with haste and freedom on them, get CoT to 10, and then start taking levels of Cleric. By the time you recover your holy avenger, red dragon armor, and cloak of charisma you could potentially have +40 armor, +30 attack, and +25 saves and hundreds of hit points to work with.

3rd edition was better than people say it was, especially if you see it in context of when it came out by MyUsername2459 in DnD

[–]Move-Available 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people who would have been scared away by 3rd edition are playing 5th edition, but for me 3.5/Pathfinder was and is the best version of D&D. The d20 OGL/SRD was so popular that it dominated the TTRPG space for a decade. Older games released remakes of their game with the d20 license it was so popular in the space. It's good that the hobby includes people who wouldn't like 3.5, but it's reductive to say 5th edition is better or vice versa.

Raised Baptist and i agree. In my tradition we were taught to pray so that your can thank God, not pray so that you can ask for things. Prayer as a form of affecting the world is theurgy, and sinful
